Well, this one does up the ante in regards to teh gay. Homoeroticism is not downplayed so much and while the movie still doesn't go full monty (metaphorically speaking) by showing the relationship between Alexander and Hephaestion at a more physical level (historical accounts do not completely agree on this, anyway), it surely depicts in a more fleshed out (no pun) way homoerotic behavior, between Alexander and Bagoas and between many of his closest friends and others. Also Phillip.
Colin Farrell was an awful choice for a cast. He tries his best, but he falls short every single time.

Ah, the metaphors.
Buffy season 3 is weird.
No Cordelia or Angel and Xander and Giles just sort of hang around on campus.
^ Angel left in season 3, wow I thought he left later than that. Angel was a cool show though. SPOILER Lesbo Willow and sister buffy is when the show really just went to hell.

Sorry, mistake made. I mean season 4 when she starts at college. Angel leaves in the last episode of season 3.
My buddy tells me that you have to watch Angel season 1 and Buffy season 4 together as there are lots of crossovers.
Got as a present the TV adaptation of Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth.
Will start watching tonight. I loved the book, and glancing through the cast, I believe I'll love the series as well.
I saw half of Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Pt 2 and so far it's pretty cool unlike the boring as crap part 1.
Also I just saw this episode of Buffy which rivalled the possessed by Jackals episode for sheer crapdom. College students were given beer that turned them into cavemen. Like real cavemen with clubs and shit.

Beer Bad. That episode is classic!
Classic is............ not the word.
The episode where Xander has to deal with the dead guys who are trying to blow up the school is fun.
So the end of season 3 of the Clone wars is getting good.
I don't want to spoil some things but apprentices rebelling is the theme. Also they did this episode which explores the notion of the force a bit more. If I was writing the show it's something I would like to do more of.
The jedi receive this ancient 2000 year old distress message, they arrive at this monolithic planet which is like a huge space station from the outside. Inside they meet 3 beings called Forcewielders who are like Gods of the force. Beings so powerful that they locked themselves away in this planet so they wouldn't destroy the galaxy.
So you have the son who is like a sith god, the daughter who is a good goddess and the father who keeps them in balance.
Anyhow, Anakin is the chosen one -remember the movies?- there is a Qui Gon Jin cameo, obi wan style, Asoka sees a future version of herself, warning her of how Anakin will get her killed etc.
Turns out Anakin was chosen to replace the father figure and beat down the super powerful evil and good gods and in the planet which is like a magnet for the force and at the centre of the galaxy he is super, super powerful.
But he rejects the notion of staying there, the father figure says he will regret it in the future and stuff.
Also in another episode, Darth Maul gets a replacement. Awesome episode.
So yeah, Clone wars is mostly good, there are a few middling boring episodes, maybe 6 I've seen so far out of 38, but there is a lot of cool stuff which fleshes out the star wars universe.

I even remember that one, great episode.
Chronicle is a very good movie. Excellent super power origin story told in such a unique way. Its basically Akira the movie.

That is what everyone says, I never seen it. But its the exact same plot without the Japanese insanity.
Just saw the intiative blown up in Buffy.
Fun stuff, was that the end of the season? Good fighting scenes in that episode, they really went to town.
I remember this film was marred by criticism of the film not depicting the then everyday homosexuality that Alexander was a part of.
Spartans also had that kind of relationship with the young boys they mentored. I'm unsure on whether films should or shouldn't try to be more reflective of historical truth. I feel like the story is the most important thing, but sometimes it seems like they go out of their way to avoid controversy.
I think Colin Farrel + blonde hair was the most off putting thing about Alexander.
