Jo's Boy [Le fils à Jo] - Mundanely surreal.
Merry Christmas [Joyeux Noël] - Interesting to see more of WWI.
A Man and a Woman [Un homme et une femme] - Weird.
Monsieur Batignole - It's just more WWII. Liked it though.
The Art of Love [L'art d'aimer] - Nothing special.
Zathura: A Space Adventure - Finished it before Foolz.
Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen - If the fist weren't legendary, maybe it would make more appearances.
A Common Thread [Bodeuses] - Promise unfulfilled.
Mama - *JUMP SCARE*
Rabbit-Proof Fence - My kind of movie.
The Story of My Life [Mensonges et trahisons et plus si affinités...] - I was surprised by how much I liked it.
Beloved [Les bien-aimés] - From intriguing to boring.
Synecdoche, New York - What's the point?
Tape - Very enjoyable.
Fly Me to the Moon [Un plan parfait] - Sure, why not? Appreciated the dancing.
The Promise [La promesse] - Picked up later on.

Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen should have been so much better.
GG, I watched the Tintin cartoon. It's so nicely framed and edited for a cartoon of its budget (the voice acting gives away the budget) because half the time it's literally frames from the comic. Second best Tintin adaptation, and a great cartoon elevated from just being really good thanks to the cinematographic quality of its source material.
They fucked up so badly on Tintin in America, though. Made by Canadians...and they don't include one of the best ever satirical jokes about American capitalism?
P.S. Why the fuck do the Arabs have grey skin? And why did the random Asians and lowly Buddhist monks have ridiculous Asian accents, yet the llama dude sounded like a native American/Canadian?

That was the only one they really fucked up. Which isn't surprising given it needed a totally different style to all the other ones they did, and without the political stuff (which they pussyfooted away from) it's simply not Tintin in America.
I'm taking a short break from anime to watch a season or two of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I only saw a couple of episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm. One that I remember was when they were in the car and an Aamco commercial played and Larry thought the car horn in the commercial was the car behind him.

I'm not sure I remember that one. I still have one or two seasons I haven't watched, including season one.

The best episode is when he had a rash on his inner leg and he put a cold bottle down his pants. he was at a party and a kid sat on his lap and then everybody assumed he had a hard on LOL

Turns out Andrew Kreisberg only wanted a picture of the sunrise and didn't realize it was the Daily Planet.
