It took Sony like 3 years to recover from that. If that was pretty much anyone else, it would have killed them. I remember walking into Target months after PS3 came out and seeing mountains of them. It's actually pretty amazing that they turned it around to the point where they ended up neck and neck with 360.

And then as they were starting to recover from it they got hit with that cyber attack/data theft that took out PSN for a month. Mind boggling how they crawled back from that..
