I did a few days ago. I didn't notice anything particular. I'll try again later tonight.
I feel like I’m the only one who can feel it. You can feel it revving up in Mario Kart. It feels cool and I noticed it right away.
Ravenprose said:How do y'all feel about how Odyssey uses HD Rumble? Since it's the only Switch game I own,I don't know how it compares to other games, but it doesn't seem any different than older Rumble tech to me.
I actually found it underwhelming in Odyssey which surprised me as they made a semi-big deal about it. Maybe I should turn up the intensity from normal to high?
I found it much better in other games like mario kart when you feel the boost whoosing through your hands or the bumps when going offroad. The door opening in the Project Octopath demo is great too. Arms has some great usage but you have to use the right character and a specific arm to feel this giant gloopy ball bouncing or the humming of this floating shield. Odyssey's rumble is very responsive and accurate but doesn't give me a specific sensation, but again you should probably turn up the intensity in the options. It doesn't help that I've been using the grip to play as the 360 hat spin is something I can only pull off with accuracy with the grip.
I like the HD rumble. It's just inobtrusive in that it just works. You often won't notice it unless you really pay attention, because it's just that good. I hate how loud it is though.
Mother of God.
Experienced some genius level stuff here. Like Galaxy good.
There are so many nooks and crannies to explore with these unique little bits of gameplay. So good, I feel reticent to even talk about them as I don't want to spoil them for anyone who hasn't stumbled across them yet. Also, New Donk City is practically a whole game by itself.
There is soooooo much post credits content it's insane and its such good stuff too. Love it.
Pro tip, there are some objects/people that you can cap and control that aren't immediately obvious. Play a game of spot the difference and you can find some awesome stuff.
Also, how the hell do you race the RC car when you go into the building in NDCity? I can't seem to do anything there, and I'm just stuck in a viewing room?
I just played some awesome bits at the beach. There is this really cool part where you use a bird’s beak to poke bombs and make them bomb certain blocks.

I just played that RC level last night.
Just take control of the guy on the far left of the room.

Love that bit. Curving the bombs too
travo said:GG, have you found the movie theater in New Donk?
Yeah that was awesome.

Teens react to it. LOL what the guy says about the ghost hat just flying.
I finally collected 9,999 coins and bought the super cool outfit.

The old school outfit from Donkey Kong was pretty cool as well.
