The only thing that didn't happen was that MB didn't transform into a giant monster, though she did go crazy psycho evil at the end. Its the same plot as every RE game except the RE characters show their emotions more than Samus.
Ok, well, THAT I didn't know!
Every time you mentioned the ending of Other M, it seemed to me like you thought it was a crazy, non-sensical, Conspiracy Theory mess...
I just wanted to illustrate (to anyone who cared to read it) that there WAS a well thought-out, well played-out, REAL story behind the game...
So. In Resident Evil there was an AI that deemed the Human Race was a Bio-Hazard and it unleased the whole T-Virus Uroboros threats on Humanity...?
Which Resident Evil(s) was/were this?

The "Joker" to Samus' "Batman" Ridley is the ever-persistent source of Evil and driving force in all the Metroid games.
I guess but it should be Mother Brain. Why make the henchman the arch enemy?

When did I ever say the ending was non-sensical or crazy?
RE knows not to use AI as a villain. Wesker feels the humans are a waste of space taking up the resources of the world so he unleashes the virus to exterminate us. Close enough, same goal, different reason.
Ridley's been there all along. Ridley killed Samus' parents. (S)He made Samus what she is today.
He's been in all the games... (Except Echoes... I think... don't remember...)
Even MB has her moment where she feels Love in the game; she was not completely without a shot at redemption.
...Even though you see Ridley as an (almost cute) Chick. It is a MURDEROUS Chick...
Ridley is the Immortal, Ever-Present source of Evil and Driving force behind almost ALL the games; Even when Mother Brain is NOT present!

Well, you said it went all "Resident Evil" at the end, to ME it meant plotless anarchy. I didn't know there WAS a defined plot throughout the RE games. You know MUCH more about them than I do!
You fished it out.
Dvader said:Agnates said:You fished it out.
Yeah, doesn't look as impressive as it did in that screen shot.
I think if went into first person it was. What about that boss that jumped up like a whale? Wasn't that the same thing? That had very good bump mapping.

I haven't been able to play it since Sunday. I just got the seeker missiles.
Yes, that's the boss in the pic, the lava whale. And it did look like that in first person. Did you not use first person much? There are many cool tricks, the bosses and enemies are defeatable with just basic or charge shots for the most part, but there are many shortcuts to victory using more of your arsenal or moves. Like, you could defeat the first lava boss by freezing its hands then sending missiles to the frozen parts, much like the first boss taught you to do, or you can use an overblast with Samus running up its frozen arm and shooting it point blank (1:30):
Similarly the lava whale boss can be defeated faster with different tricks depending on its current pattern, the most common is to fish it out when you see the blue glow instead of just keep using charged blasts like I've seen people on YouTube do. I suppose hard mode makes it more essential to learn when you can do these since that means you can defeat them faster and have less lethal attacks to dodge.
How do you fish it out? I just shot it till it jumped out and did a charge blast.
Just go in first person mode and lock on shoot it when you see the blue glow in its mouth. Well, you actually gotta learn to anticipate that and go to first person before it actually does it or you may not be fast enough. it does it often enough, and the first time it does it the camera zooms in its mouth to hint at it.

Yeah I did all that, I just didn't remember the boss being that same color. I thought it was more purpleish.
Here is the fight, yeah he is orangeish with a purple like mouth. I guess that screen shot has way more color than the actual game, plus the lava effects are better.
Metroid Other M get.
Played 4+ hours, like it so far. Some thing irk me, but so far so good.
And that little chick thing is Ridley, is it not?
