Yeah, and I'm still hoping I can just use the 2 Joycons seperately like I could the Wiimote and Nunchuck. Not having to hold your hands together is just so much more comfortrable.

At the event in New York after the Switch conference all the 2D games you could only play with the Pro Controller.
Hopefully they do a left joycon with a proper D-pad. Or I guess Hori will do a cheap standalone d-pad controller. I bought their GC one for Viewtiful Joe.
I'll definitely be picking up a Pro Controller myself because I want a normal d-pad for fighting games and any of the Virtual Console games that I get.
