She's like a little girl, I can't play as that as a manly man. I had to ignore her.

GG did you finish this game?
Don't bother with the CC at all with this game, you have to use the analogue and the d-pad at the same time so the CC is useless.
I am 95% of the way there, stuck on this boss and left my wii at a relatives house so I can play something whilst there.
I am 4 hours in, so much to do, it is a bit overwhelming. So it has a MM like NPC system, sweet! I am slowly getting around the leveling up systems, there is a ton of stuff to manage. The menus take a little too long to load, its not bad at all but for a game with so much to manage I wish it was more instantaneous.
Broken record time, the game looks like ass. You know all the reasons so I wont get into them. The world so far is design very beautifuly, nice green landscapes with big lakes and such.
This is where I am a bit worried, I am not connecting with the combat all that much yet. Most battles are super simple without much to do, all RPGs have these. The larger enemies are more fun to fight but still it just feels, I dont know, like I am doing simple actions. So far I find the FFXII system was more interesting. "But that was automatic!" Yeah but I had a million options, loads of spells, buffs, debuffs, summons, etc. I know it is very very early but I dont see that same level of variety, even when looking through the manual and stuff. Lets see, again very very early and these are just my first impressions. I really like the quest and NPC system, seems great.
A few questions, what are affinity coins for, I see that I earn them but I dont see where to use them. NPCs do you just talk to them after different events to advance their relationships, or do you talk with a different character or something?
I did just get beat down by some crazy fast bunnys with swords. I had killed a bunch of easy ones but I guess I reached a further area and this special one charged me and he called his whole bunny posse to beat the shit out of me. So that was awesome.
Looking back on this thread it seems like I have not seen shit of the battle system. Cant wait to see the chain thing.

Affinity coins are about skill links, you will unlock that later. About the affinity chart, you unlock the relationships by talking to various named characters multiple times. Like someone mentions his daughter and then you talk to the daughter and she mentions something about her dad. Then you talk to the dad again and you might find out they have a horrible relationship. This is filled in your affinity chart, you can also unlock sidequest to improve said relationship.
About the battles, you are jumping to conclusions way too fast. Also you might want to start a new thread, this one is filled with spoilers and GGs idioticy.
I stick to this page, this thread is fine. Leave GG alone!
I know the combat will get much better but somethings are just not clicking, it probably will in time. RIght now I just got my ass beat by some catepillar thing. I cant heal for shit, worst heal spell of all time. I hate that I have zero control of my teamates attacks. I want them to go from break to topple to daze, they do it fine the first time then after that they dont give a crap. Everytime I am ready to chain combo someone dies in my party. Grr. Again I will get better at this, growing pains...

Every time you break someone the AI will try to topple it. If the AI does not topple it means that the move is not available to it. The move have cooldowns like your own moves or the enemy might resist the topple. You can use gems to increase your topple effectiveness.
Also named enemies are much stronger than normal ones.I think you are fighting the catapillar you meet when you enter Tepra Caves for the first time?
About healing, there will be a healer in the game, but you do not actually need one. It only slows down the battles, If you keep dying you are doing something wrong, Try managing your Aggro. Reyn should be taking all the punishment. And try playing with Fiora for a change!
Dvader said:Then why did so many love it. You played it wrong or something.
You are right. The popular consensus is always one of good taste and well considered criticism. Is that why you furiously hate the ending of Mass Effect 3?

Break with shulk and reyn will topple, then you daze. You will get a healer soon.
At the moment in the story it is harder to kill mechon, that will change. Make sure that you look at your level and the enemy level before engaging in a fight, make sure they are no more than 2 levels above you but to be safe just make sure you are at the same level or higher.
No you don't.
You ignored the best character in the game.
Tutorials are in the game, use them.
