Felt like triple dipping.
Bosses are so much better in this game over smg 1.
So what was your favourite level guys?
Lava level with the giant lava monsters. The flashing level, the one where the lights come on with the beat. The second cloud level. The FINAL level.
Final bowser level is my fave. Is there a Special world level missing? It's noticibly absent on the menu.

You bastards. My e-scrotum is shrinking. Do you really hold me in such low regard?

Fixed that for you

You might not know this yet, but your favourite level is the Final Level

Yes your favourite level is missing. The final level.

X-Com thinks you are a badass so you have that.

I am still awaiting your story on the final star. Actually I never shared mine either.
The main level I thought was amazing and I got through it just fine. Once I opened the comet version I knew it would be hell without getting hit once. What I didn't expect was for the level to be remixed into an even harder version. The Yoshi part at the start was killing me, finally i got the rhythm down. The second section was the easiest, never had a problem there, I always had Yoshi with me. Then its the cloud area which can be done easily with patients though I did get too eager at times.
The 4th area was the bitch. Trying to avoid the floor lasers, bullets and not spinning which cause the floor to switch was insane. I died a few times and realized I need a new strategy. Many times I would start that section with the cloud suit but only one cloud, it allowed me a little bit of wiggle room. I wondered, can I get three clouds and enter that section. So I worked on that, in the cloud section I would create a cloud that would go through the green beam, to the other side so I can land on it while getting refilled, then do a long jump at the warp. Now I had three clouds for the hell section. I still had to get passed the first laser floor thing but after that I could long jump my way to the exit without touching the floor. After a few tries I could usually get passed this area every time.
The 5th area was easy as hell. I learned you can grab onto the pull star without having to do that last floor laser section so I did that. The pull star stuff was all patience and timing, very easy I rarely died here. Then came the hammer bros, FUUUUUUUCK! I would move so slowly, making sure to focus on one at a time. I learned the best path on the platforms and the best order to kill them. I had to learn at what distance I would be safe from the boomerang guys at the top. I died so much, so many times by stupid things. THREE times I had ONE stupid enemy left and I would screw up cause the dead enemies boomerangs would still be flying around.
Finally after about 4-5 hours on one level I did it. I screamed, I yelled at my tv, I threw my wiimote in celebration, epic.
Okay my final level story. Spoiler for everybody except for Vader.
I heard about the perfect run on Neogaf. And I thought it was for all the levels in the game. A final unlockable, that opens up when you collect 242 stars. When I got closer and closer to the end I began to think that this cannot be true, did not make a lick of sense.
So I did the Grandmaster Galaxy, the Ultimate test. I was hard I died a lot, especially at the end with the hammer bros. But I learned some part like the pull star part by hart. So after that I unlocked the Perfect run.
I now understood what Gaf meant with perfect run. I was relieved, because I did not have to do purple coins without ever getting hit. And also because most levels were not designed for perfect runs. I was also worried, because some sections would be nigh on impossible to avoid getting hit. I was especially worried about the last section with the hammer and boomerang bros. Also annoying was that is you fail this last section you had to start all over again.
So I started and to my absolute horror the perfect run was even harder. The first part did not have paragoomba's, but those weird stoned looking flying things with pointy WOI helmets. Needless to say I did here a lot. But because it was at the beginning retrying was not so hard. Eventually I got the rhythm down and could do it almost automatic
The next part was easy, I even had Yoshi there. Just run and don't stop. The thrid part was also easy, but sometimes my epic jumping got the better of me and I died.
The next part was hell, with them switch blocks and pushing enemies. I died here a lot. I quickly recognized that I could easily take two clouds with me. Maybe 3 with some luck. My strategy was simple. Keep moving, and use clouds when possible. I used clouds on the first two parts because they were quite large. The last two part you could skip with only touching the ground once. I kept dying, but each time I got further and further. Eventually I passed it once.
Only to make a stupid mistake at the next part. The part that I could do without getting hit. Okay again the previous part, after dying and dying I passed it again, but now I passed the electricity thing that killed me and passed the pull star section without much trouble.
Bringing us to the final dreaded part. The first time I took it careful killing hammer bros one by one. Until I made a mistake and died. I realized then that this would not work. It would take too much time. I do not intend to play that section for half an hour only to die from a single mistake. No next time I will go fast, skip everything and attack the boomerang bros from above. There boomarangs fly straight, they can't hit me in the sky.
Yeah, again from the beginning, I did many times. Until I done all sections well. I even go three clouds on me on the dreaded flip switch section. The space section went easier than ever before. Then the last section. I ran past the hammer bros. Long jumped quickly from one platform to the other. Ran toward the boomerang bros jumped and landed on his head. He fell down and with another jump he died. Another was in front of me. I jumped on his boomerang that was returning only to destroy it. Jump on his head and finished him on the ground. The last one was there. I quickly jumped on him too and avoided the hammer that was thrown from the back. He laid down, his boomerang still in the air. I quickly exposed of him and a launch star appeared. I wasted no time and lauched my self, because two boomerangs and a hammer were heading my way.
I screamed "oh yeah" and waked up my mum who was sleeping on the couch. She almost had a heart attack. I saw Rosalina, but I went beyond the hut to see a 1up. I did not dare to collect it. What if I fell off? I had to do the whole thing over again, fuck that. I talked to Rosalina and got the star ans she joined my crew at Starship Mario. Peach should be jealous. Got my Master of Galaxies title and I felt awesome.
Actually I need to finish the game once more, maybe the ending will be little different. Rosalina mentioned the green stars, can't mention that any more. These last two levels, Grandmaster Galaxy and flip out Galaxy are fucking awesome. These levels I expected when I opened the S world. Not reruns of old levels, although they were great still.
BTW if it wasn't for the music in that level I might have taken a hammer to my TV. So calming.

Exactly what I was thinking. I would love to be proven as the best Mario player on this site. Pick a level and set the rules.

Okay, Sky Station Galaxy Peewee Piranha Temper Tantrum (First world, first star)
Try to beat 2:30 and we can go from there.

Will do. Then I will pick one. 2:30, I will do that in my sleep. (I have no clue how hard it will be to make it in 2:30, I'm just talking shit.)

It's very easy, if you can't make it, you will not be worth my time.
For clarification this is a test.

I've got to stop buying games and get back to getting the rest of those green stars. I have 101 left to get.
