So what faction will everyone be on this weekend?  We should chose the same one, so we can be on eachothers team should we see eachother online.  I hereby propose to add our potent splatting power to the 'cat' faction.

Finished the single player mode.

The last boss was weird in a good way. It took me a while to beat him, but it was worth it. Overall the game is kinda Galaxy like, with lots of variety. One level has invisible platforms, while other you have to play stealthy. I do think the octoling deathmatch levels and the stealth strike levels are repeated a bit too much. The bosses however are all great.

In the sequel I want to see even more crazy platforming and more variety in your weapons. The whole game you only use one gun!

Sup, I should clarify:

I'm talking about this, not just hiding in ink. This Russian fuckwit did this, from ink to jump, back down to ink, back up to jump, repeat endlessly.

Just dawned on me: might be because you theink you shoot will travel farther while jumping.

Splatoon version 1.3.0 updates:

Splatfest Amendments

– If it takes too long to find another team, you can fight the same team again.

* Even if playing against the same team, Splatfest Points can still be earned.

* Only the opposing team’s results will be counted at the conclusion of a Splatfest battle.

– If you begin the software before the Splatfest start time, an adjustment will be made where you may be able to begin 5 minutes before the start time (from the start time, you can participate in all areas).

* The purpose of this is to reduce congestion that would occur immediately following the start.

– The number of Super Sea Snail increases when you acquire the “Charisma” and “Eternity” titles when the team that voted loses.

Special Weapon Adjustments

– Inkstrike: When used, the mark that shows the impact zone has been greatly changed.

– Kraken: If attacked in the middle of using this, they will be repelled stronger than before.

Gear Power Adjustments

– Ninja Squid: The speed of the squid dash has been made slower than before.

– Stealth Jump: The time taken to charge has been made longer.

– Ink Resistance: The negative effects of movement and damage that enemy ink has on you when walked on has been reduced.

Other:

– Various game content has been fixed to better customer experience.

Good news for everyone who loathes the Krak-on roller, as it seems like you will be able to stall Kraken squid by shooting them.  Still not a big of a nerf as needed, but it's something.  Perhaps now won't see as many less capable players revert to it, which in turn will lead to less Kraken.  Which is a good thing.

Ninja squid and Stealth jump are being nerfed as well, making them slower.

I think it's just this guy being a douche.

Have you guys tried the ranked battle modes? I tried the one where you have to secure an area. Why the heck is the inkstrike allowed on this? Anyone with an inkstrike special can store it, count down to the final second of the match and launch, instantly converting one area to their colour. Such BS.

Had a good.... bad run experimenting with weapons and dying a lot. I wish the game would just let you choose the sub and special you actually want instead of taking them as a set. You always have negatives you can't correct, so you try another set and another aspect is wrong.

Once I went back to the aerospray I got the high score again but I'm sick of the way the inkzooka limits your movement.

Also one of my clothing items went missing, I had an item with the ninja squid ability, I went back to equip it and it had disappeared?? Not only that it wasn't in any of the stores either? Did the update wipe it out or something?

It's called balancing GG  Nyaa  As for your ninja garb, Nintendo just decided to get rid of the perk, instead of just nerfing it.  It's their way of encouraging you to hide in ink, jump out while shooting before going back to hiding in ink.  It's the way to play GG, all the freshest squids are doing it!

Also turf war getting put up against level 20s with much better weapons doesn't help indecision I'm 11.

So go into ranked battles and you can lose points and stuff if your team loses. Can you lose items or cash?

Grrrrr...  angry  Nintendo needs to nerf rollers big time.  What's the point of a melee weapon when it's also possible to use it in such a way that it has a larger range than any gun save for a sniper, while also covering an area that's 4 times as wide?  Why have any guns at all then?  I hope something gets done about this, because at the time of writing, one roller who knows what he's doing can fend off a whole team.

Most rollers are easy to deal with, just back up and shoot. But there are some really great players who can dominate with the roller, and flick it to insta-kill you. And because they are constantly painting whilst moving they always have the Kraken to initiate.

I was a bit confused at the start of single player. They kept asking me to go find 2 thigs, but it seems only one word is open?

Not sure if you figured it out, but you 'open' levels by finding them and shooting ink at them.  Yeah, it took me longer than I'd care to admit to 'discover' that as well.

Anyhow, beat the single player campaign yesterday.  Wish there had been more bosses.  Also, the only reason why the final boss is such a difficulty spike is because the rest of the game is such a walk through the park.  There is no enemy AI to speak of.  All octolings are just obstacles in your path, they never pose any real threat.  The best bit about the campaign was also the hub world.  Think of the awesome platforming they could have included in the game.  I wonder if they chose to avoid that path as not to create something too close to a Mario game.

That's my point.  Being killed by a great roller player just feels 'cheap' in a way that I have never felt when killed by a 'gun' player.
