The main character reminds me of the dude from Alan Wake. Alan Wake.

There are objects that you can hack and manipulate.  For example, you can makes pipes burst and kill someone.  Or perhaps hack into their phone to distract them to provide time to either escape or take them down.  You can  hack into an electrical panel and make it explode.

This morning I was chasing a hacker on foot.  I was getting closer to him until he hijacked someone's car and took off.  I quickly hacked a nearby traffic light which fooled some cars into moving prematurely and crashing into him.  He stumbled out of the car and died. LOL

Let me expand on that.  You earn experience which give you skill points to assign to crafting weapons, hacking, driving, etc.   You can choose hacking skills like raising bridges or lifting up barriers to block cop cars.

So how are you guys liking it so far?

I'm not sure if I like it more than Sleeping Dogs and some of the other open world games. Hard to say. I am having a good time with it, but I think I'm still waiting for that moment where the game finally hits me. The driving isn't as enjoyable as other games like this. I guess they were going for a more realistic driving experience because the controls feel sluggish. Realistic is fine and all, but it doesn't mean FUN.

The game has elements of so many games like this over the past generation. There's elements of GTA obviously, but also Crackdown, Sleeping Dogs, Assassin's Creed.

Took some more pics....just opened up all the towers so now I have full eyes on the city. That's basically all I've done so far outside of say 2 main missions. Goona start doing some main stuff now, see how the main story flows. Got a pretty good hang on the controls at this point, so I feel a bit more confident.

Hey, do you guys think Resident Evil 2 or Code Veronica is a better game?

Don't you fuckin' ever tell me Resident Evil 2 is better than Code fuckin' Veronica....

RAD RACER!!!

About an hour in.

I guess the game must be set pretty far into the future because even though the cars appear to have wheels they all look like hover cars when you are driving them.

The game has nothing going for it. Compared to PC games it doesn't look that good either.

However the Vita remote play is the real deal. Very impressive.

Yeah, you usually just press or hold square for about a second or two.  It's really the best way considering how many people's phones and machines you'll walk past in just a couple of minutes.  Sounds really simple, but imagine how tedious the game would be if there were multiple steps to hacking while you are on the run.

There are a few hacking mini puzzles that I've found, but very few so far.

I have decided to trade it in for credit. Which will be the first game I have returned since Two Worlds for the 360.

Ubi is still Ubi.

A friend of mine bought Watch Dogs from Steam. He's not very happy with it. Said it just makes him want to play GTA5 instead. LOL

Its not a perfect game....I think they made a good choice delaying it past the launch of the new consoles because it would have been a mess at that point I'm sure. But, it IS fun, though it starts out kind of...OFF.

I can't put my finger on it, but the beginning bits of the game don't feel right. It starts slow until you get to the "Open your World" mission. You hit a point in the game where you go "Oh ok....THIS is how the game is" and then it turns into a really fun open world game. It has elements of so many different games all thrown into one. Crackdown, Deus Ex Human Revolution, GTA, Red Faction 3, etc.

Graphically, it looks solid. I have it all maxed out and haven't had any of the problems others have. The problems I had, had nothing to do with graphics. The sound STILL doesn't work with Dolby Digital, and until yesterday Uplay's servers were taking FOREVER to boot the game up. That has been fixed though. But yeah, there's parts of the game that look GORGEOUS, then others that look OK. For an open world game though, really the only game that looks better is Sleeping Dogs. GTA 5 does NOT look this good.

The controls are a bit different. I still get mixed up on how to reload a gun (its left bumper but I always hit the Square/X button). Honestly, this reminds of the original Assassin's Creed....a love it or hate it game with a ton of promise, that if you can get past the rough spots is a rewarding game. And I'm sure Watch Dogs 2 will fix all the issues and be 10 times better than the original, just like Ass Creed 2 was.

Oh man I am in love with this game!!! I dont even do missions, there is so much to do everywhere. A mugging there! A convey here! Hacking a building to spy. Gang hideout to infiltrate. Awesome AR mini games. I played a poker game where you can spy on the cards with a camera. Chess games. Giant spider mechs.

Oh then come the invasions where you have to play a game of hide and seek. I also did a solid hour of online races which are messy chaotic fun.

Easily one of the best games of the year for me and I am just getting started.

Not the best looking game.

Here is Watch Dogs online racing, edited by me. Go to 2:05 for a great WTF moment. Clearly better than Mario Kart. Nyaa

Some missions and other random stuff.
