Shame on you for not saying Fantasy Zone IMMEDIATELY, Robio!!  Argh!

Yeah I know. I just got back from the Melting Pot though so cut me some slack. I've ingested so much chocolate and cheese tonight, its a miracle I can even move right now, let alone think straight.

It was certainly tough.  I'm pretty sure I never finished it.

I never finished it. I got to the final level one time, and died fairly quickly. I was never able to do it again.

Battletoads could be gold.  I wonder what the hold up is on a new game?

What ever happened to graphics like road rash and Mortal Kombat where they mapped real humans into the games. Can't we do some insane stuff with that kind of technology today?

Everyone on the planet who originally played Battletoads thought it was too hard to ever want to play it again.

Yeah, the Mortal Kombats of today just don't have the wow factor of the old ones.

What would it be like if some of these old games were made today? We know how formulaic everything has become so we could easily pinpoint how some would turn out.

For instance Karnov would totally be a God of War clone. Any time he fights a dinosaur the game would turn into a QTE fest as he does some crazy finishing move. His fireball power would only be used after filling some combo meter.

Ikari Warriors would just be another Gears/cover shooter, so no.

It seemed like Karnov showed up on any and every video game system in the 80's. With this cover art, and the multi-plat release I have no doubt it was probably the best selling game of all time.

The company that made Glory of Heracles on the DS bought the IP when Data East went under; Paon is made up of former Data East employees.

The other IPs they purchased that used to belong to Data East outside of Karnov and Glory of Heracles are: Atomic Runner/Chelnov, Vapor Trail, and High Seas Havoc.

SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:

  • SMB Mix-Up! (1AB2-0000-0047-5A7D)
  • Storm the Castle (77BD-0000-00E0-A9C0)

Karnov's fireball power would eliminate all who stands in his way.

It doesn't look good. Guile is about to Sonic Boom the shit out of him!!!

Oh fuck off Guile. You ain't got shit. Time to press X and unleash the super fireball.

The end...

I'll have you know that's the Iron Sheik with custom made Karnov pants. You have to pay an extra $4.99 for the costume DLC pack to get him.

I would buy a new Karnov game if Iron Shiek did the voice acting for him.
