Focus is a poor choice of word; patriotism and nepotism are probably better choices.
edgecrusher said:Dvader, how are you figuring that Sony will have the best multi-platform games? Where are you getting this from?
We don't know what's going on with the new Xbox, and MS has had the best multi-platform games since 2001. I mean, just because Sony designed the console with PC parts like everyone else has been doing for 15 years doesn't guarantee the best games. It just means they've tried going the same direction as Microsoft does with its hardware. If anything, they will probably match Xbox...but I highly doubt they will be clearly BETTER.
I am just going with what EVERYBODY in the internet is saying. The RAM of the PS4 will be unmatched and will absolutely allow for the best versions of all games. Everyone is saying the rumored Xbox specs just dont match and no one expectes MS to add the same amount of RAM. I dont know much about this but everyone seems to think so.

I don't want the wii u again, I want something new, something unique, with a decent USP. Sony have made ps4 in the same way as ps3. Where is the vision, the risk taking, the creativity and confidence to do something more away from the perceived middle ground?
So you want a wii u in spirit. You want all consoles to be experimental devices with new controls rather than better graphics, just like what nintendo has been doing the last two gens. Someone needs to make the traditional console where most all traditional games will be on.

Not necessarily new controls no, but new ideas, displays, interfacing. Just creativity. I want a vision, not just: here is the new console bros, it's just like the old console, with moar powa.

Just the RAM speed, everything else is the same but rumours state that ms is going to use a huge chunk of resources for the operating system. Still though you bought and enjoyed all these inferior versions on ps3 and I got a few vastly inferior wii versions. Didn't stop me enjoying those either. I know it's nice to know about, crow about, but I doubt there will be a noticeable performance gap between durango and ps4.

What crowing? Did I say someone would not enjoy a lesser version. I am just stating what has been said.
I wonder if Sony is going to be like Nintendo and release PSOne, 2 and 3 games to their streaming services in drips and drabs?
I can almost guarantee there'll be next to --NOTHING-- available in the Launch Window.
I have a feeling the Social "Share" stuff will be ready at launch, followed by the Streaming of Friend's games, followed by Streaming of Full Games which will be stretched over a 5 YEAR Generational time period.
If --ANYONE-- thinks all the Past Libraries will be available at Launch to Play everywhere on everything, he or she is crazy!

Am I the only one here that is interested in seeing more of this game?
I'm interested in the 3D sculpting in this game and creating what I want.

Vader has been a quiet Sony fanboy for the past 5 years, but now he is ready to turn into the Vg Press's very own version of EvilTaru and Jimmy Sunderland combined. I love it!!!
The way the whole cloud BS has been announced is incredibly suspicious. It's either not going to actually happen, or will be in a completely (most likely vastly inferior) form. Also, Linux. I take it there'll be no Linux this time around?

Steam Box will also have WIndows, so no one will use Linux on it. Sorry, Gabe.

Cause this place is half insane with some of the comments.
I care for the playstation as much as I care for any others which is I love it as much as what games it has on it. It so happens the PS consoles have had my favorite games. The consoles are cool for the features but in the end nothing but games matter. And it doesnt matter where those games are played (except PC, who wants to play on that thing. )
But yes I am a Sony fanboy, a nintendo fanboy, a Sega fanboy, a capcom fanboy, a Kojima fanboy, amoung others.

Yes.
I am sure that is part of a much bigger game, something like LBP but much larger. What they showed though was Wii Music. Terrible demo. But the full game should be incredible.

Ok but you seem happy with the Wii U and I dont think that was all that creative, more like copying what was popular at the time. I feel like Nintendo did not have a clear vision with the wii U, at least compared with what they had with the Wii which was pure innovative genius. Wii U feels like a lot of ideas thrown together with moar powa! I dont see what the touch screen is going to add outside of menus and mini games, we shall see but it wont be anywhere as impactful as a wii.
Now the PS4 can pretty much do everything the wii u can. Yes I know the vita is optional but I have one so for me I can do the same off screen play the wii u can. Sony has a miiverse like sharing community with more features. It still has move, so just like the wiimote, that can be used for some games. The PS4 has basically the same "vision" the wii U has but with much more features. The PS4 has a central vision, streaming, it seems that is the main theme of the console. Instant access to demos, games, community. While that may not change the games themselves it is a glimpse into the future of how we will access them.
Now you mention no new controls, without new controllers every console can do whatever you want them too. Why couldnt the PS4 have whatever kind of games you want if this game uses traditional controls. So I still dont get what you are looking for. If innovation in games is what you want that is up to the different developers and doesn't really tie into the consoles themselves, unless of course it is tied to a new controller of some kind. I am pretty excited for MS cause I think they will really push the envelope for new ways to interact with our games, I expect big things from Kinect 2 as long as it works in tandem with the controller (which it will).

Will respond when I have a keyboard to type on.
How do you figure? From what I can tell MS is not as developer-centric as Nintendo and Sony. They legitimately don;t seem to give a shit about developers, regardless of what Steve Balmer says.
