Really not a  fan of the art style. Everything looks so washed out and fake, and there's so, so much fucking bloom.

Then again, maybe it'll fit with their depiction of LA.

It does, LA has that look.

Sleeping Dogs slays this game in the graphics department. Dosen't even really look better than GTA IV to be honest.

Yeah it's a very sunny city but hardly any vegitation to offset it. The screens are fairly accurate in terms of the light and feel.

In real life, the bloom is smog from the air pollution.

Oops, I meant the lens flare, not the bloom. It's like it's a trailer for a PS2 game back when lens flare was cool.

LA rules, I can see how a tourist might miss the obvious values of the community.

And now the drip continues:

I love the picture with the dog, that might be the best looking videogame dog I ever seen.

I'm actually very tired of Rockstar ripping off movies.  There are so many games that could be made without acting like a hobo scraping ideas off the bottom of Hollywood's shoes.

Lost and the Damned and Gay Tony were the right direction for them (though maybe those were just rip offs of more obscure source material).

I'd hate to see them try and do something original, tbh. I still haven't played Gay Tony and Lost and the Damned, though, but from the outside looking in they both seem to be a composite of various sources. Their strength is in parody, not even satire. Them trying and coming up with something all by themselves seems destined to be an even bigger disaster than GTAIV.

Yeah, I'm a little confused at what they're ripping off.

I always considered GTA more of a parody of films and TV shows.
