Adventure mode sounds freakin awesome.  I'd love to see it where residents just show up and occupy your buildings if you build enough.  A cross of Animal Crossing and Sim City of sorts.

Apparently, there villages and villagers are in Adventure mode. How and why, I have no idea, but it's moving closer to the game everyone is describing!

Anyone find diamonds or gold yet?  I'm assuming gold pickaxes can be unbreakable.

Must. Make. Obsidian!

I just made my portal today.  Happy

Now all of my towers have Eternal Fires in their four corners! Monsters burn when they get too close...!

...and apparently trees do too...

Gold items are crap, sadly. I think they are more for show. Now DIAMOND on the other hand...  surprise  !

You found diamonds?  I guess I'll have to dig a lot deeper.

I'll stop by tomorrow.  I put in a massive amount of time today (6 hours).  I even found time to work in my real yard.

Steel's been awfully quiet lately. I wonder what sort of fortress he is secretly working on...

As for my wall... I don't know if I want to build it up, or leave it low and build a rail way system on it... Some people have constructed elaborate, working Roller Coasters. I would never go THAT crazy, and I can't even imagine how much Iron that would take, but... COOL!

The sheer amount of freedom to create whatever is overwhelming.  I need a rail system to get back to my tower on the cliff...that I abandoned: P

Yeah Adventure mode sounds great, can't wait. I've found gold and red stone but haven't found diamond yet.

What started as this...

...and this... notice the Worker's Shack...

...Evolved into this... (The Foundation was just getting started)...

...then Became this! Still a work in progress, but see the Shack in this picture?

This is a view from Nether Rock.

My Nether Portal was built under the First Tree I planted.

As seen from the opposite side of my territory, as the sun sets!

...with my illuminated Tower in the center and my Fires burning to ward off monsters!

Sadly I haven't got any time to put into my world these past few days. Only made a third tower for shows and put a few burning netherracks up there.

Adventure mode is coming. In it, you gain experience, level, you can enchant your equipment, there are more monsters and an End Boss. Don't know if there's a cooperative mode or not (I am trying to avoid reading the Wiki) but you'll soon be able to put that armor and your sword to good use! Only thing I am iffy on is: I heard you NEED to eat. If it's the kind of thing where your life goes down if you don't... no like. If it's the kind of thing where your hearts replenish if you are fed... better, but still questionable.

YES!!!

I have not, but Photographer-dude showed me all sorts of stuff with Pressure plates. He made a walkway, for example, that when a monster stepped on a certain tile, the floor opened up, dumping it and any other horde-members into a pit of lava. Handy!

Ok, here is the outside of the clubhouse.

Everyone has their own bed with their name above it.  I'm even adding paintings on the walls.

Edge's bed is a double bed and the sign says " Edge and Guest".

. Nyaa

My bed is awesome. lol
