Can you guys clearly explain specifically what is so good about this game? Not questioning it, I just cannot gauge from your impressions so far, just what makes it so good.

Ok, for me the thing that grabs me is the colorful HD graphics and hand drawn animations that look like they come from Uncle Walt's studio.  There are some parts that look like they fit right into any of the Disney animated movies from the nineties.  Just super, smooth frame rate here and gorgeous lighting and effects.   It's just as pretty to look at as DKCR (surely prettier on an HD system).

It also does what all the great platformers this gen do: make great use of the environments.  Think about how DKCR had you travelling from foreground to background and back again, how the environment mght collapse on top of you unless you travel through it quickly.   Try searching for an angler fish to light your way so that you don't get attacked in the water or dodging bombs that blow up your platform.

It's just pure nonsense at times,  jumping on hot sauce to steam a cup so that you can float in the air.  Collecting singing golden bugs, riding a mosquito that can suck up bombs and spit them out. I won't say it's my favorite 2D platformer.  Heck, it's not even my favorite of this gen., but for $20-$30, it's a steal.

And I am too lazy

So the number one reason why one should buy Rayman Origins immediately is.....

Classic Iga post, "you suck for not explaining!" Now I will not explain anything either!

So the HD makes it better? I was thinking about getting the 3DS version if its good because the plane switching might look better in 3D.

I wonder how small the sprites would be on a smaller screen?

Your last two post was rephrasing shit that were just told. Just put a made up percentage after it and you can be Link's next sidekick in the next Zelda. Now with more telling the shit again you just heard.

You know what is really annoying?

Doing a time trial and really nailing the first part, only to look at the clock and realize that you forgot to hit the stopwatch in the beginning and everything was for nothing Hrm

Really you call that an ass? Seriously off all the things I said this was by far one of the mildest thing I said. You should be used to it by now.

I like calling you an ass, though that is kind of redundant. Nyaa

Stop posting and play Rayman. It gets better as you keep playing.

It would benefit the thread much more. Then we could go back and relive the hilarious posting between Vader, Iga and Steel.

And except when they do get the checkpoint location slightly wrong I think it'd be pretty pointless because on the whole the checkpoints are so well placed. And unless they were unlimited I don't think it'd make much difference because there are certain sections where you'll be dying a hell of a lot. Eh, I dunno, it just seems like it would stuff up the flow of things.
