People it is time, time for the new official VG Press GoTY thread. Because the flood of games that were released this holiday season, most of us are still trying to finish some games that are released this year. So for this reason the voting will take place in March 2012. So that we all have enough time to play games and think about it. The rules are about the same as the same as in the previous year, but with some small changes. Remember not following the rules will make your vote and therefore your life invalid. So read them

Rules

1) Voting will start at the 14th of March and it will end at 1st of April. Don't bother sending it in now, you will be disqualified.

2) We are going to keep it simple. Just give your top 3. The first ranked gave will get 3 points, the second ranked game will get 2 points and the third rank game will get 1 point. The points will be tallied and the winner will be chosen.

3) All game that were released in 2011 are eligible. If a game is released in any region, in the year 2011, you can vote for it.

4) A new rule: If you vote for a game that is released in any region, you may not vote for that game again if it is released in another region the next year. So if you vote for Xenoblade because it is released in 2011 in Europe, you cannot vote for it again in 2012 when it is released in North America.

5) You vote by PMing me your top 3. This is very important. Don't put your vote in this thread. This will get you disqualified. This is done to get rid of strategic voting. I will put all the votes in this thread after the due date of submissions has passed. This way you can all check if I did my job correctly.

6) On March the 13th I will pick my GoTY and PM it to GG. This way I am not influenced by other people's vote, because I will see it all. So it is impossible for me to vote strategically.

7) So no discussions about GoTY here, before 1st April. If I catch you, your vote will be disqualified.

I put this thread up now for two reason

1) So that someone else does not make one

2) So that you know you have enough time. No rush to finish it all.

Well I did only play 2 games that were released in 2011. But I have till March to actually buy some more games.

I still dont know what my GOTY is.

More time for what? What games are you going to play? Dont you only have a Wii? Then you have nothing to play.
