Going to have to wait until next year to buy Zelda SS I just got Skyrim, St's Row 3 360, and tonight I ordered MW3 360 and Rayman PS3 all in the Kmart Buy 1 get 50% 1 total spent $190 4 kickass games. I might change my mind and pick up Zelda tomorrow LOL still fighting it.

I loved the beginning.  Sure it's slow but I just enjoy exploring.  You can tell that this gsme is gonna be epic.  I am one hour in and had to stop.  The art style and animation are especislly incredible, even better than Windwaker.  It controls way better than TP which felt clumsy at times.  I played that earlier and the difference feels huge atm.

I was not expecting the cd with the normal version of the game.  Sweet!  I will check it out later.

This game feels weird. I tried to explore the skies a bit, there was nothing to do really. Yeah there all these rock ball things but most dont have anything. There are a few islands here and there. I do not get the feeling I got with Wind Waker, not even close. Hopefully that changes. I only started on the surface but even that just feels off cause it is a linear road. I found a bottle with a potion in a chest that was right out in the open, I thought bottles were supposed to be awesome hidden items? Most Zelda games you see a million things you cant yet get to, there are a few I have seen so far but very few which leaves me wondering where is all the hidden stuff. I know this game is a drastic change of the formula, not sure I like that change yet.

Control stuff is fine, sword feels awesome. Story is interesting so far. The game is beautiful art wise. Zelda is always a slow starter once the dungeons start I am sure I will be in love.

I've just entered the third dungeon. Enjoying the game a lot more now. It's definetly at least a 9/10 game.

Gameplay is solid and there is some inventive stuff in there. Only things I can really complain about is some of the art style, the game can look gorgeous but if we can say that Twilight Princess' art was classical, almost roman or greek style buildings and statues, there is some childish chibi crap in SS.

The Goddess statue is an eyesore and there are these little robots who look like they belong in a Banjo Kazooie game.

Overall the pacing is not on the same level with TP and it just doesn't have an epic vibe about it or a real impetus to move on. It's the same zelda, just missing that little bit of epic.

It's included free with all the first print run. So if you want the CD, Bear you better buy it sooner rather than later.

The game basically gives you 3 free bottles.

There is more stuff to unlock and the world under the clouds is big, they have just given you a glimpse. I'm 13 hours in and at the third dungeon, I hope there is a lot more to it.

No you won't the first dungeon you have already played in the demo. And what is with the love of the Ocean in Windwaker, it was boring as hell?!

I can and I will. Skyward Sword destroys Twiligh Princess when it comes to sword play, bomb handling, shield bashing and flying. About the IR, did you not mention that you thought the slingshot was controlled by IR? So what is it? I say they are about the same.

I replayed Twilight Princess recently and there are some secion that look like someone smeared poo on the screen. Deah Mountain for example looks like crap, Skyward Sword looks so much better.

Oh come one you got to be kidding me. Yet another fetch quest?

Sure the first one was not bad because I found all of the critters before I got the quest and the second one was fun, but yet again? This one does not seem that bad, but it is kinda getting predictable. Kinda like the wolf tear collecting in Twilight Princess. The third time it went a little stale, but at least there I knew there were three of them. At least the area is interesting to explore, hope they change it up a bit.

Yeah I checked and the slingshot is motionplus controlled in SS. It's better than the regular cursor movement in SS but still shitty compared to proper IR like they have in TP, all you have to do to compare is hit the home button and check how fast and responsive the IR is there. The flying was better in TP too with cursor control of that winged beast but it wasn't as fun or fleshed out as it is here. I do love the bomb handling in SS but I think it could be acheived with the normal wii remote. Shield bashing is the same as TP IMO.

The beetle item is fun with motion plus though and the combat is better, like upscooping skulltala's and then stabbing them.

The bird controlled like shit in Twilight Princess, if you moved it a bit to far you lost the sensor bar tracking. I actually had to turn it off and control it with the analog. When it comes to controlling a flying object IR is too fidly.

And about the slingshot. You had to check if it was IR, Why would you check it if it feels shitty compared to IR? Would you not notice it immediately? Also the home button thing is not a fair comparison, the home button cursor does not have a deadzone like when aiming the slingshot.

I do know that IR is faster, but like I said before this method is more stable. I will wait until I have the bow to form my opinion. The slingshot is kinda useless to test these things out with. The seeds do not fly straight and it does not kill enemies.

I did notice immediately. As I said, it was better than the standard motionplus cursor aiming on the menus, but nowhere near as good as proper IR. And it is a fair comparison because TP on Wii had a static screen and no bounding box, you just used the nunchuk stick to turn link so you had pixel perfect aiming as fast you wanted it with a complete dead zone on screen.

I don't think this method is more stable, Red Steel 2 had cursor smoothing and it was solid as a rock.

I did not complain, I just noticed it and laughed about it. Seriously don't use dowsing, it is like the hint system in Prime. Not needed and less fun.

No, you asked me to compare Skward Sword aiming with the home cursor aiming. That is not valid. And yes aiming with a static screen is more accurate than aiming with a bounding box. Not just because IR is more precise, but also because it is fundamentally easier to control.

Red Steel is different because it is a FPS (S is for slasher). You always have the pointer pointed at the sensor bar. In Skyward Sword it is different. Like I said before, if you press 'c' while you point downwards that position will be you center position. If you had IR you suddenly would start staring at the floor. You would need a second to adjust. That is why motion+ is more stable.
