I changed my opinion on Butler, it depends whether his jokes have some truth to them or are just over exagerated nonsense. I quite like him.
LBP2 was sort of a bust for me. As someone who's played all of half an hour of LBP, I know the franchise as a wildly inventive platformer. What I saw at the conference was a minigame maker creation tool.
You people that don't play LBP have no clue do you. They gave people 24 hours to make any level. People took what should be a platform game maker and made a Star Fox level, a RTS level and yes the mini game stuff you saw there. What you dont realize is that is just the tip of the iceberg. If that was what they could do in day what happens when they have the game. What happens when they can make a full game using a mix of these concepts.
LBP2 will once again be the most interesting and groundbreaking game of the year.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI give giantbomb #2, their coverage was lengthy, but not timely, they posted too late. Still worth listening to. Gamespot's coverage was pathetic. They only had two casts, the first was ok, but criminally short, spending a few seconds on Sony's con, their second was filled with ... it was just crap, and short. And neither was timely.
So good job guys, particularly again to Vader and Yoda. Your casts provide a worthy time capsule of the event.
aspro said:Also, have to congratulate yoda and dvader (along with their guests) for the E3 podcast coverage. After listening to all of the gamespot and giantbombcast podcast coverage thevgpress had the best. If you listen to the three we did, you really will get caught up on all the required turns of events.

Giant Bomb's Day 2 podcast was fucking incredible. Such a great podcast. Day 3? Well, it's either the best or worst thing ever.

For tomorrow what format do we use? I was thinking go over some extra news that happened after our last podcast. Then we each cover some games that wowed us at E3. We each pick 5 or so and cover what you saw and stuff. Then after that do awards, best game, biggest surprise, worst showing, etc.

I was on before you were, I just had to take the dog out.
3DS talk.
Anyone else worried that the 3D and touch screen being seperate is making the touch screen fairly redundent? If you think about DS, most touch screen games have the action on the bottom screen. Since you're going to be looking at the 3D top screen so much, how well is the touch screen going to be used? It might end up more like a mouse.
Love the idea of 3D photos but I want to know the resolution of these cameras as I hear that DSi has poor resolution pics.
They laughed at THQ saints row?
I did not hear this.
Yeah, crazy that Metroid was shown and... TRAIN
and it was just sort was a minor thing.
3DS has sooooo many features, it has a gyro and motion sensor and nobody really cared or remembered because there are so many other features.
When Iwata was railing off title names at the conference I thought he was just mentioning the most popular franchises of the third parties. I didn't realise that he was actually announcing in development games. So awesome.
Leo they are repurposing Star Fox 64.
Huge franchises were just popping up everywhere.
Nintendo 2004 had Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 2 and RE4 so it was awesome.
Oh yeah the way they did the after conference video on e3.nintendo.com was awesome.
Vitality sensor is a troll.
They should throw out more red herrings to see what happens. A Disc controller for instance.
Morgan Webb ugh, this woman is just... ugh. UGH!
Finished. Nice guys.
