Yeah that was GDC 2005.  They have a track record of it.  They've given out XB's before as well, not sure about 360's.

They should give the machines/TVs to the readership of the games websites.

Congratulations to thevgpress.com as well, we now have provided 3 E3 podcasts whereas gamespot has yet to provide a single one as of this posting.  Sure, they have streaming, but no podcasts (when they promised at least 3 last week).

So, your summary of the Sony conference is the first I have heard, and it sounds about as "good" as Microsoft's conference yesterday.  You guys spent 24 minutes on it, and I see that the cast is at least 90 minutes, so something tells me that Nintendo is going to get much love.

Thoughts from the cast so far:

1. The price of the Move is too much.  Sorry.  At that price there is not going to be the pass-thru to justify developer interest.  I can only hope that SCE does not force it into too many of their seminole games.  Keep that shit away from Ico3, God of War and Uncharted 3.  I kind of see Leo as having similar buying patterns as myself when it comes to gaming, and I know precisely where he is coming from on this one.  

2. Kinatal is a disaster, I agree.  A bloody disaster.  I wold love to hear what robio thinks of it all, from a marketing perspective.

3. No PSP love   Bastards. I love my PSP.

4. Where did you record this from Davider?  A truck stop in a hurricane?

5. All in all Sony conference sounded like it was on par with MS.  If the Move was priced more reasonably it would rate higher (or even some sense of direction with the PSP2).

6. It's funny how when Nintendo left the core audience, I really did not care, as I had the PS3 and 360 to rely on.  Now that they have bailed on me, it looks like Ninty is going to carry us for a while.

Now I'll listen to the Ninty part.
