There are tons of good 360 games which they could have shown, which makes it like Nintendo 2008. They just chose to focus on the big money grabber of the moment. Smart business move I guess but a lot of people are pretty meh on the conference.
EA conference is starting now.
What is this QTE Need for speed crap? When did everything have to become epic? They guy is pressing 1 button and the onscreen guy is jumping off buildings and dodging machine gun fire.
In a racing game.
Having just woken up and read the news it looks like there was nothing big at MS's conference right? No price drop (which I didn't think was coming, but was rumored). No new IP's and more Kinect garbage?
EDIT: Oh Halo 4 and the new triology. That's big news actually.

The Halo 4 announcement was near meaningless. They just showed a 45 second CG clip that had Master Chief in it for all of 5 seconds or so. Wouldn't have been much different had they just shown off a logo and nothing more. The announcement of the second trilogy was really the only big announcement they had. Tons of Kinnect stuff, but none of it really interestng.
Do they really think they lived up to expectations of "the core" with their Kinect offerings? Drive a carriage in Fable? Where was the rumored Gears rail shooter?
The Disney Kinect game looks like good use of the Kinect. I guess at this point they realy should push it as something for families.
Yeah. This year we see the hardcore Kinect games and the ones that play with the controller are just voice recog which a mic can do. The ones with just Kinect are all on rails as we foresaw last year, without a stick you can't even move about yourself. And without buttons you can't even play these onrails games without doing something ridiculous, like thrust your whole hand forward just to shoot; or both hands if you are playing Star Wars in an X-Wing.
