Those sentinels look retarded. Like a giant fan for a belly mixed with what looks like a walking vacuum cleaner. Stupid as fuck.
Stars Wars still on track for summer of 2015. No casting news yet outside the old farts. No filming date set. Nothing.
Its less than 2 years till summer 2015, every SW movie has taken 3 years to make. Good luck Abrams.
Literally the only way that they could have made me expect these to be worse than the prequels is by casting people from the original films. Oh well, at least I'm going in with impossibly low expectations.
I just watched Kick-Ass 2. And, yup, it kicked ass!
I enjoyed first film a bit more, but this is still a great sequel. Hightly recommended.
Yeah, Jim Carey is great. It's a shame he disowned the film, though.

"I did Kick-Ass a month before Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence. My apologies to others involved with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart." -- Jim Carrey link
Nine New Images From Ghibli's TALE OF THE BAMBOO CUTTER
This is a big year for Japan's famed animation house Studio Ghibli, with new features primed from both of the studio founders Miyazaki Hayao and Takahata Isao. Miyazaki's effort - The Wind Rises - is already out in Japanese theaters, where it has topped the box office for four weeks running, which means the attention now turns to Takahata's Kaguya-hime no Monogatari (The Tale Of The Bamboo Cutter).
Japanese broadcaster NHK just ran a profile of the film which included a slide show of stills from the film, which have now arrived online. Check out the gallery below for the new images, which showcase again Takahata's typical inventiveness and willingness to experiment with his visuals. Remember you can click to enlarge.
Jim Carey definitely played a douche card with that move. I understand the change of heart on the violence issue. I'm good with that, but why would you risk alienating the rest of the cast and crew and potentially hurt the film's success by doing that? Not that his career doesn't already have one foot in the grave already, but he may have gone ahead and put the other one in. I can't see how that will endear him to studio execs or directors.
Ironically though it may have brought a lot of attention to the movie. Before his quote came out, I had no idea the film was that close to being released. It ended up bringing a lot of attention to it that it may not have received otherwise.

Oh Boy, it’s More Oldboy Images!
Doesn't even look like it's going to be all that unintentionally funny.
I just watched Kick-Ass 2 again. I enjoyed the film even more the second time. There's a lot of little things that I missed the first time around, like the extra scene after the credits, which is hilarious. Everybody else in the theater left as soon as the credits started rolling, but I sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for that scene. The cleaning staff waited in the hall until I left; I kinda felt bad about that, but I figured, Fuck it. I paid my $7, and I'm going to see the entire film this time, goddammit!
I've read plenty of negative reviews, but that's the harshest yet. And easily the worst. Yeah, most critics hate Kick-Ass 2, but most fans love it. Fans > critics.
That's because fans have horrid taste in in cinema, questionable politics, and terribly short attention spans.
Kick-Ass 2 was considered a box office flop by many "jounalists" last weekend when it only grossed a measly a $19.4 million worldwide. I checked the numbers again today, and it's now at $38,523,000 worldwide. For a niche film with a production budget of only $28 million, I'd say it's doing fine so far.
Those sentinels are nice!! I cant believe they made them huge, I thought they would cop out and make them human sized robots.
