FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE leads Asian Film Award nominations
The nominations for the 6th annual Asian Film Awards were announced in Hong Kong this afternoon, with Chinese language films scoring highly in most categories. Tsui Hark's 3D wuxia fantasy leads the way with seven nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (for Chen Kun's double role) and Best Supporting Actress for Taiwanese beauty Kwai Lun Mei. Unsurprisingly, Zhang Yimou's THE FLOWERS OF WAR also attracted plenty of attention, with six nominations, including a Best Newcomer nod for lead actress Ni Ni. Taiwanese epic WARRIORS OF THE RAINBOW: SEEDIQ BALE was also named in six categories. Other notable nominees include Asghar Farhadi's Iranian Oscar favourite, A SEPARATION, with five nominations, Peter Chan's WU XIA with four, South Korean war film THE FRONT LINE with three, while Hong Kong's Oscar hopeful A SIMPLE LIFE landing just two nominations.

Expendables 2 may be PG-13 cause Chuck Norris is a baby.

He doesnt want to do a movie that kids cant see, so all bad language must be cut out. Ohhh but its ok to shoot a bunch of people, kids are fine with that.

Just cut that ass from the movie then.
Chuck Norris berates people with his hardcore vocabulary rather than just reaching for the nearest swear word.
Hmm, I watched Expendables a few weeks ago, and I don't remember there being any bad language in it. Maybe I'm desensitized to it after being on this site for so long.

What the fuck are you talking about?
Lots of reviews today.
Review: THE VIRAL FACTOR is explosively infectious
THE VIRAL FACTOR is big, loud and couldn't care less whether you think it's clever or not (and it most certainly isn't). What it delivers is two hours of guns, explosions, car crashes, helicopter chases, running, jumping, screaming, shouting and enough bullets, squibs and blood bags to make John Woo hang his head in shame. There is nobody in Hong Kong making action movies that comes anywhere close to displaying the scope, ambition, or deliciously deranged vision of Dante Lam. And the best news of all is that he's only just beginning to hit his stride.
War of the Arrows (2011) Movie Review
The film was a massive success at the box office, emerging as the biggest domestic hit of last year, and also brought home a slew of accolades.
A well made, tense and gripping thriller, it’s a film which deserves its success and should be enjoyed even by those fed up with the genre.

The Great Magician LHKFilms review
Derek Yee's The Great Magician is amusing and intriguing before becoming overstuffed, nonsensical and pointless. A disappointing but still somewhat pleasing Lunar New Year film thanks to Tony Leung Chiu-Wai and Lau Ching-Wan, whose shared screentime and extensive interplay should delight many a Hong Kong Cinema fan.
The Flowers of War LHKFilms review
The central drama between the schoolgirls and the prostitutes is strong, but the advertised one - between Christian Bale and a bunch of Asian women - is conventional if not embarrassing. A mixed bag of harrowing brutality, pandering drama and finally some effective emotion. Worth seeing but not necessarily for the reasons they want you to.

It's fast paced and brutal. Loved it!
I saw Haywire, the Gina Carano movie. Its super stylish but simple. She basically beats the shit out of guys most of the time.
That film is pure filth! ^
