You know this thread sucks ballz.
I am just going to pretend someone made a good thread about posting a list of your favorite movies. Year of released be damned.
Pay attention kids you might learn that there is more to life than the stuff Hollywood is shoving down your throat.
Supercop/Police Story or however that Jackie Chan movie is called
Hard Boiled
Grave of the Fireflies
Tokyo Godfathers
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Finding Nemo
Wall-E
Underground
No Man's Land
Phoonebooth
Lock Stock and 2 smoking barrels
The Big Lebowski
Memento
The Usual Suspects
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Robocop
Predator
Gattaca
12 Monkeys
Seven
That's what popped in my mind. Probably missed tons of them
Vader if you are a SF nut as you claim, watch Run Lola Run.
While I am busy not abiding the rules
Some of my favourite series
Babylon 5
Angel
X-files (the early seasons)
Supernatural (you shall all burn in hell for not watching this)
Farscape (you shall all burn in hell again for getting this show cancelled)
Firefly (you shall..ah you get the point)
Dvader said:Homers list is awesome. If there is one thing I have learned from this is that everyone loves Robocop. And its clearly better than Predator. Every person who has chosen a movie for 1987 has picked Robocop.
All those sequels and games should have been Alien Vs Robocop.
Robocop is such a well constructed movie it's hard where to begin it's praises. It has dated well too (except for the stop motion ED-209. That theme is high on the list of great themes too.
Too bad the sequels SUCKED.

All that matters is that Robocop is on your list.
Robocop is officially TheVGPress' favorite movie. We should change our logo to Robocop.
No Man's Land? Isn't that a lesbian porn movie? Phonebooth is the movie with Colin Ferrel in a phone booth cause Jack Bauer is threatening to kill him right. Its ok.

Apparently it doesn't have much to offer beyond films that have got a lot of hype, though.

This is where it's at.
I just noticed the name now.
Robert Cop 3 is probably better than Robocop 3.

I loved Phonebooth because the whole thing takes place in a phone booth, but yet it is so tense.
No Man's Land is a Bosnian/English movie about a Bosnian Serb and a Bosnian Muslim stuck in a trench between lines. AKA No Man's land. It has very dark humour. I think there is also a lesbian porn called that, so really you can't go wrong either way.

What's that supposed to mean?

Just saying if you want to complain about Hollywooders you may want to actually throw in some more obscure stuff. However it's an epic list so...
Except for LOTR which has ruined pretty much everyone's lists.
Oh yeah. Red Cliff has the best theme tune I've heard in quite some time.

Both are based on the Three Kingdoms famous Chinese literature. There was a famous warring states period in chinese history when all the various kingdoms were facing off against each other, you can see it in movies like Hero.
