5.  Magic of Sherazade - This is one of those little known gems on the NES, and by all those who were lucky enough to play it, it's considered one  hell of a game. Think of an Arabian version of Legend of Zelda or Crystalis and add classes changes, helper NPCs and occasional turn based RPG battles.

At any rate, a game that mixed genres as well as this one did would work even better today. Plus throw in an Arabian high fantasy theme (that's not bogged down with darkness and emo crap like Prince of Persia) and you could have a great game on your hands.

4.  Skies of Arcadia - This was an RPG that was just begging to be made into a series and had the bad luck to be released only on the Dreamcast and Gamecube ensuring that most RPG fans missed it. Sega has been rolling the dice a lot lately on games that sold a lot less (Valkyria Chronicles 2?) so why not try and give Skies of Arcadia one more push?

3.  Kid Icarus - Nintendo has been teasing this one for years and its time they delivered. The original is a hallowed classic now and one of the very few NES classics never to see a sequel (no the Myths and Monsters for Gameboy game doesn't count).  So come on, Nintendo... you gave us Pit in Brawl and he ended up being pretty damned cool. It's time for him to go solo again.

2.  Act Raiser 3 - The original Act Raiser was a legendary game.  A perfect fusion of city building and action (who would have thought that would have worked??) with an incredible score and hard as hell to put down.  The sequel was kind of a mistep (and even a potential candidate for a non-necessary sequel), but it would be justice if the series was closed out as strong as it started.  All they have to do is stick with the original formula and they'd be half-way there to a good game.

1.  Eternal Darkness - This game was the greatest mindfuck to ever show up on a home console.  Controls may not have been the best but the story and all the little tricks it pulled on your were elements of greatness.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again, a game like this taking advantage of the Wii's controls could easily top the original. And since the game's trademark just got renewed.... maybe there's hope.

They're cheap, but difficult to find here, and I'm wary of most vendors at Mercado Libre. Hmm, I wonder if I can haggle Eternal Darkness down to hobo levels with the lady that owns the store. She's quite old, so I don't trust my golden balls to be of any help here. Maybe if I offer her food, or free medical examinations?

If your people can steal a massive life size, animatronic T-Rex from a museum, why can't you slip a simple game case out of a shop? Nyaa

Well, that question has an obvious answer, GG.

Steel is walking INTO the store with something even more MASSIVE than a life size, animatronic T-Rex...

He probably calls attention to himself just by walking through the door!

Before the release of the Wii every GAME in london had many used copies of eternal darkness as well as REmake for £7-£8 each but they started disappearing and getting more expensive after the wii was released.

As for sequels i'd like to see made ... hmm let's see:

God Hand 2, Madworld 2, Demon's Souls 2, Sly Cooper 4, Metroid 5, Contra 5, new Castlevania for the DS, and let us have Pikmin 3 already Sad

So 13 years later, how many of the games that I thought needed sequels actually got sequels?

The Magic of Sherazade - it didn't happen and likely never will. After 30+ years it's completely fallen into the cracks of obscurity. Pity.

Skies of Arcadia - Rumor has it there's a remaster currently underway, but that was brought up 9 months ago and nothing else has been mentioned since.

Kid Icarus - So one of my wishes actually came true and we got Uprising on the 3DS. Controls were a little awkward, but it was very good.

ActRaiser - We got a surprisingly ugly remake with ActRaiser Renaissance, which wasn't too well received. That's probably killed the chance for a future installment.

Eternal Darkness - There's been some attempts at sequels, kickstarters, spiritual sequels, and tons of good intentions. Nothing has come from any of it though.

In conclusion, shit I like probably is usually doomed.

I'm still waiting for Excite Truck 2.

Excite Truck 2 would be good. Excite Bots 2 would be good too, but that game sold next to nothing so I can't imagine we'll ever see that again.
