I was in McDonalds yesterday for a Mocha Frappe.  Got to tell you, McDonalds has done very well with their new coffee bar.  Better than average coffee at a good price and a nice selection at that.  Plus those new frappes are crack.  I highly suggest checking it out.

But as soon as I entered I saw a kid, probably about 20 or 21 years old that just made me cringe.  The guy was in line playing a PSP.  Nothing wrong with that, though I do get irritated with those kinds of people who are too involved in their device, be in gaming, cellphone, ipod, etc. that they become oblivious to the rest of the world and forget to move forward with the line.  This guy was decked out in just a little too much gaming clothing and accessories.  He had a baseball cap with a NES controllers all over it, and "Old School" NES t-shirt, and..... wrist bands.  One again had the NES controller on it, while another had a 1-up mushroom on it.

Simply put, he looked like a jackass.

To make matters worse this guy looked like the classic stereotypical gamer.  Skinny, thick glasses, beard that just wouldn't grow in right.  I just wanted to slap the silly bastard and yell, "all things in moderation you douchebag!"  I suppose he deserves a little credit for getting out of his parents' basement right?

I'm not against people showing who they are, but why go out of your way to look like a walking billboard for the gamer stereotype?  I'm sure a lot of people won't agree with me, but if you're not able to dress yourself in a way that suggests you're in your right state of mind I'd rather you not identify yourself with something that is also a part of who I am.

What was dude playing on his PSP?  That would be the determining factor in terms of my judging him or not.  Otherwise, I'm generally happy to see anyone playing a game in public.

I'm all for people wearing what they want.  The wristbands are a bit unusual, but are you telling me you haven't seen the exact same thing in sports-form a hundred times over?  And not batted an eye?

Uh..What was that?  Leo's posts distracted me.  I kinda agree, but I'm tired of seeing people go overboard with everything else like gangsta attire and sports attire.

Leo's pics reminded me of something funny.  I had a friend, and about 5 years ago as she was finishing up college she needed money so she put out ads for herself as a virtual girlfriend.  She wasn't a bad looking girl, cute next-door neighbor type. For guys that went with it she'd send them pics of herself playing with action figures or videogames just wearing bra and panties.  It was ridiculous how much she ended up getting. Money to paypal, stuff on Amazon wishlists, etc.  Did well capitalizing on our people.

Yeah I kind of put super sport fans into the same category as these guys.  Like I said, everything in moderation.  When you dress and act like this... you're a douche. End of story.
