I love this game. It's perhaps my favorite fighting game of all-time! It's 10 times better than the first one, meaning the 10 new characters adding a huge difference and improvement to the game.

But I will admit, I'm not feeling the same honeymoon as I did with the first game. You know that incredible feeling when you play a great game for the first time.

Super SFIV feels like I divorced from my wife or broke up with my girlfriend, but got back together again with a stronger relationship. Even though the relationship is stronger than before, the honeymoon is gone.

I guess that's how I feel about the game. It's better than the first but that feeling of playing it for the first time wasn't there. And I hate to admit this, but it really did feel like I just downloaded a huge DLC to the first game. It's much, much better of course, but it's more of the same.

Is that disappointing? Maybe a little, because I was so excited for the game. But Street Fighter IV was already perfection, IMO, so since Super SFIV improved on perfection, I guess I'm completely satisfied with that!

And I liked "In-de-struc-ti-ble!" I want a single or ring tone of it! :P

After all the 10 scores for SF4 I was let down by the game. It has nice graphics but it feels like a remake of a game I've already played to death, 15 years ago.

I think i felt like GG except I didn't think about it in those terms.  I just didn't feel very excited about playing it.

It's the reason I'm saving my money and not rushing to get super

It's not just SF4. It's one on one fighters in general. And racing games. There comes a point where it feels like there isn't enough room for the design to grow. I get extreme deja vu.

^^

I think it's a good thing. That was my biggest beef with Street Fighter III because there were too many new characters. So having all the characters I grew up remade with modern graphics is a big reason why I love the game so much.

It felt strange that I could return to the series and still remember every freaking special move for all the characters, after all these years. And still whup people.

It felt kinda too slow to me as well.

^^^ But I think that's the good thing about it. The familiarity allows longtime fans and players to pick up where we left off.

Which is why I love the game so much. It brings back memories but also revitalizes the series. I guess people looking to experience a new game would be disappointed, which I can understand. But this game is an exception because of the series' legacy.

And you felt it was slow? Have you been playing Tatsunoko VS Capcom again? WinkWink

No.

I think back in the day I ramped up the speed in SF2 Turbo. SF4 feels slower than the original game to me though.
