Tomorrow my sister and I will fly to Louisiana. We will then hire a car and travel through Cajun country, then through Florida. In Florida we will visit Miami and Orlando.

It is a road trip, the exact route and timetable will be decided on a whim, so I cannot say when I will be in the neighbourhood. But I will keep this blog updated.

Today we are getting our car and we will by dryving to the heart of Cajun country, La Fayette.

New Orleans was cool. Not that much to see, but so much more to eat. Po Boys, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Turtle soup, Blue Crab Remoulade and Lobster. All so delicious!

Ok, first part of my road trip is done and I am not dead yet. We visited Laura's plantation, Oak Alley plantation and had some dinner in a cajun restaurant. Tomorrow we shall visit the tabasco factory and another plantation. I highly recommend the Laura plantation, it was really insightful and fun.

Also first time driving with an automatic gear. Seriously it's like an easy mode. Seriously guys, get hardcore and do manual gear shifting!

LOL  My parents both drive an automatic, I know what you mean.  Just keep your left foot in check so you don't hit the wrong pedals when something catches you off guard on the road.  I also don't like automatics because they never seem to shift gears when I'd like them to.

Left foot brake, turning every corner into a rally*.

Robio. We will be visiting the amusement parks this coming weekend. We would have liked to do it during the week, but we cannot do it any other day.

So a question for you. Is it worth to pay extra for the express tickets for Universal Studios? Not sure how crowded it gets in the weekend.

I would get it. Halloween Horror Nights is going on and that brings a lot of extra people into the theme park. And on a weekend it will be especially busy.

Thanks Robio.

Today lots of shit in a single day.

First we went to the tabasco factory. Which was awesome, with a nice tour and a cool store where you could taste al the tabasco. Then there is a bird sanctuary nearby with nice swamp lands, alligators and a buddha statue.

After that we went to the Shadows of the Teche plantation. We got a tour from a old dryed up skeleton lady. The tour was filled with old people. Ugh soooo sloooowww

Finally we went to the cajun village. Looked like the opening village from RE4. Vader should really visit it.

Tomorrow, we leave cajun country and we drive to Florida!

Make sure you've got some podcasts or something to listen to on the drive. I-10 in the Florida panhandle is one of the most boring stretches of road you will ever drive.

I second this.  If you have time, drive through Pensacola.  It's nice.
