You can use any old web cam for switch 2 use.

Even use your own phone camera.

Not sure you guys can use the anker power bank link, it just popped up on Eurogamer.and I nabbed it. With free delivery that's insanely cheap and will triple my switch 2 battery life.

With my 5k man I'll have even more.

The amount of DLC that comes packed in with Dying Light Ultimate Edition makes the content menu cover 2 different screens.

Have a feeling this may take a while.

So I was playing the Phantom Liberty Cyberpunk dlc.

There's this mission where it says to be stealthy. This is like the other missions which ask you to be stealthy. And like most missions, you end up stealthy for a few minutes before it inevitably descends into a fire fight.

And I was thinking about stealthy games which worked and why they worked.

Games need to give you the viewpoint, tools and hiding places to work well.

Stealth doesn't work well in 1st person IMO as your viewpoint is very limited and you can't see around corners. You can Peek around corners in first person but you risk exposure.

Other games have onscreen mini maps, or radars where you can see troop movements and plan ahead or slip through enemy walking patterns.

Other games give you enough useful tools to work with, fancy tech or decent silenced weapons. Cyberpunk let's you hack a lot of things, but that takes away from the satisfaction of sneaking up and zonking someone on the back of the head.

Also in crouched position there's this visual filter which makes everything too dark around the edges. It's annoying.

You also need safe zones or hiding places. Like the shadows in Splinter Cell, or lockers you can duck into, cardboard boxes to hide under.

Deus.Ex and Crysis had invisible suits.

There's a lot Cyberpunk gets right, I'm quite impressed just how well they deliver something close to the best FPS and excellent gta style car controls. But the stealth could use some tweaking.

For me, a head shot with a silenced pistol should be a one hit kill. I've very strict with that, it all goes back to Goldeneye. But here a head shot then alerts everyone and the one you've shot needs several.more to put down.

It's not as bad as Wolfenstein 2 but wolf 2 has even more stealth problems that brings it to the point where it's not even an option to me

I've been playing online Knockout Tour and love it. I've never won an online race. I think the closest I have gotten is fifth.

Which one of you jizz cabbage enthusiasts didn't like Little King Story? Was it you Robio? I've been talking to someone about the community and your name came up as someone who did not like the game. I reviewed your top 100 list and it was not to be seen. We need to get to the bottom of this.

Yeah it was me. I was not a fan of it. Admittedly, I would give the game a second chance if a version of it was available today. But if I didn't like it again, I would probably spend the next decade talking about what a shit show it is.

Isn't Little King's Story a Pikmin clone? Or was there more to it?

I don't know what a "jiz cabbage" is, nor will I be Googling it to find out either, lol.

I came 2nd in one of them.

One hit from a Piranha Plant can nuke your whole run.

To me it was even better than Pikmin.

You could build and upgrade your kingdom and it's charm was off the charts.

Played Dying Light on the tv. Switch 2 BC can be excellent on some games. This game is up there with the best Switch ports, it looks on par with Crysis 2 remastered.

Really enjoyable game too, I had to force myself to stop playing it so I can focus on Cyberpunk first.

Also tried Call of Juarez, didn't realise it was also a Techland game. Switch 2 crisps everything up.

The motion controls are really fun and even though you call freely move about it almost feels like a light gun game and really nails the feeling of being in a wild west gunfight.

I assume Dying Light sold poorly on Switch, because Germany effectively banned the game from the eshop across all PAL regions.

Quite a sad affair, Techland seem to make great games.

I've read and watched a few things recently regarding Switch 2s screen.

So firstly it's certified and supports HDR10 but isn't bright enough to display proper HDR.

According to a PC magazine monitor reviewer he says its still a decent panel with higher brightness, better colours and higher resolution, over Switch 1s panel. He also said the colours are a match for the OLED and the screen is matte enough that you get deeper blacks.

He says that he couldn't notice any blur, despite tests. But that the blur does exist and is viewable in 1/30th of a second.

He said that there may be a panel lottery as one reviewer had measured the screen response time as twice as fast as the lowest review.

What's more interesting is the reason for the supposed screen response time.

Most LCDs use LCD Overdrive, a way of forcing faster response times by feeding it more electricity.

Switch 2 doesn't seem to be using LCD overdrive even if its technically capable, it's a fairly standard feature. And the informed speculation is to preserve battery life.

So Nintendo could patch it, it's not that the screen is abnormally slow, it's that they're deliberately trying to save your battery life.

Personally I've not noticed any blur or ghosting but I haven't played any fast moving 2D games on it.

Google update has nerfed my phone.

I can't copy and paste links into the news boxes anymore as it copies a huge chunk of text I have to delete. And a Google pass through link.

The notifications and settings had changed and messed up. Now you have to swipe down from the right or left of the screen to get either notifications OR quick settings panel bar. How do I change this back?

And its changed the colour theme from light to dark. FFS.

It's also reactivated Bixby and forced the side button back to gemeni.

Little King's Story includes more traditional RPG-style combat and kingdom-building mechanics. It also mixes real-time strategy, life simulation, and RPG elements, whereas Pikmin is more focused on real-time strategy and puzzle-solving.
