Well, Nintendo's contact center got back to me. By buying the game, I agreed with their croocked return policy. I replied stating that this was not a refund, but that the product is non-conform as it is not the same software as available on either platforms, that I was misled.
We'll see how this goes.
Typical bull shit.
I got screwed by the council that was virtually extortionate.
I've had two games I purchased on steam refunded. One wouldn't boot on my PC and the other one I played for an hour and realized it wasn't for me. Both were refunded in about 2 hours.
Might be a EU thing. They make you renounce it before making an actual purchase though. Still, because the product is different from what was to be expected, I'm now trying to go for non-conformity, which is a different legislation.
But the side activities I assumed would be enjoyable are mostly junk. The controls are so bad in most of them I cant even get through 1 round and quit. I have to pause menu abort.
I haven't tried Shogi or Mahjong yet but I'm not in the mood to learn whole new Asian board games in between beat down sessions.
I just made it to the park. I like switching up fighting styles but I'm not great at unlocking the dragon skill tree. So is Majima friend or foe?
Same here. Tried it once and my eyes just kind of glazed over. Nope.
"We've had Yakuza 0, 1, 2 and now 3. So, on Switch 2 with Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, we're releasing everything that we can at the moment. From here on, the number may increase if fans tell us more."
"I've always thought that being able to play anywhere is really important for Switch 2, and I think it's a great piece of hardware that will make the dreams of people who wanted to play games in the past but were restricted by location to come true. When the Switch 2 came out, the game actually worked because the performance has also improved, so I decided from the beginning that I wanted to port the game (Yakuza Kiwami 3) over no matter what. Furthermore, with the advent of easy to play hardware like the Nintendo Switch, we are now in an era where anyone can play."
Reportedly Nintendo Direct planned for next week
01/30/26 - Nintendo is reportedly planning a new edition of the Nintendo Direct that will focus on games from partner studios. Insider Nate The Hate and GameXplain expect the show to be released next week. Nintendo has not confirmed the information and has not yet announced a Nintendo Direct Show.
Nintendo comments on Dispatch's Switch censorship
Earlier this week, Dispatch released on Switch consoles. However, many were disappointed to learn there would be some censorship differences on Nintendo's platforms. In versions of the game as it appears on other platforms, there is an option for players to toggle censorship of explicit content on or off. In the case of Nintendo, though, players were not given this choice, with explicit content censorship being implemented in Dispatch as standard. This saw black boxes covering characters' exposed breasts and penises, while noises of sexual pleasure were toned down.
At this time, AdHoc said this would not impact Dispatch's gameplay or narrative, stating these "core" experiences remain "identical to the original release".
Nintendo has now shared its own statement regarding the Dispatch discourse. "Nintendo requires all games on its platforms to receive ratings from independent organisations and to meet our established content and platform guidelines," a company spokesperson said in a statement shared with GoNintendo.
"While we inform partners when their titles don't meet our guidelines, Nintendo does not make changes to partner content. We also do not discuss specific content or the criteria used in making these determinations."
When it first came to attention that Dispatch would be automatically censored on Switch consoles, many were keen to point out that other games which also featured displays of nudity had not been met with the same stipulations. Games such as Cyberpunk 2077, in which players can customise their Vs genitalia and more, are not censored on Switch consoles in the way Dispatch has been.
That being said, a specific Japanese version of Cyberpunk 2077 was released separately from the game's standard version, which removed nudity and decapitations. Therefore, some have speculated Dispatch's censorship issues may have come down to AdHoc not wishing to create a separate release of the game for Japan only. Again, though, this is speculation.

Meh, sounds like this is the devs fault.
Well, my intricate knowledge gained by 5 minutes of websearching sure spooked the helpdesk employee.
He got back to me that while Nintendo doesn't do refunds, for this exceptional case he sent it on to their 'specialized team' to look into a 'different outcome'. And so the waiting continues!
I’m surprised that you were able to get in contact with an actual human.
Good thing it's Nintendo, they're always lagging about 10 years behind the competition. Apparently also so with their helpdesk.
