Well, after over 25 years I can finally say I've beaten Ghouls and Ghosts.
The second run through to find the goddess wasn't bad. Having some inclination of the level design and using the turbo button helped. The goddess power let's you destroy the final level chain of bosses fairly easily.
There's still some rank bullshit going on. Using the rewind feature, depending on when you released it, you can see the AI adapting in a microsecond to blatantly screw you over.
Still, it's done so I can appreciate the games iconic character designs and music without hating it too much.
I think its the right thing to do. How many customers feel swindled because they buy something digitally and then are confused when yhey lose that media?
Years ago Disney had a MOD, Made on demand dvd service.
I ordered Gargoyles season 2 and this Pirate animation I forgot the name of. They literally burn the disc, print the cover and post it out.
What we need is a law that forces companies to have this as a backstop for those that want a printed copy of their digital game.
Or have a series of servers, backed up by various insurance companies, that legally guarantee that you will have access to redownload in perpetuity.
Otherwise, why not put a bluray burner drive in the console, let us make our own discs as backups.

My kids are looking into buying a tv for the playroom. We've narrowed it down to a 32" HD Led LG tv or a samsung 4k LCD pc monitor. Any advice or opinions are welcome. Would they benefit more from LED HDR, or from the higher pixel count?
Our main tv is an LCD over 13 years old, I have no clue how visible all these new technologies really.

What systems are you planning on hooking up to it? I'd say 32" LED is fine for most people. 4K is good for longevity, and if image quality is important to you.
Mostly switch and switch2, which is rumoured to be 4k docked. They'll be sitting less than 3 meters from the screen, I'd imagine the extra k's could be visible from such a distance.
Also, both screens are budget options, so image quality won't be all that high.
That is the worst, hope it comes back soon. Didn't get anything bad so I was lucky.
