That’s old school gaming for you. Games were built for a very repetitious play style especially arcade style games. They wanted people to keep pumping in quarters and so that people couldn’t just rent them once and beat them.

Beat 'em ups are a lot more fun with a friend. That's how I originally played Double Dragon, Golden Axe, Altered Beast and Streets of Rage 2. Playing them now is still fun, but not nearly as much fun as back then.

This a such random but cool update. I was thinking recently how I'd like to get a good fishing sim but most are shovelware. No Man's Sky fishing! 👍

Yes, I remeber playing Double Dragon 2 with school friends, one day we beat it. No idea where we got all the quarters from (actually they were 20 cent pieces in Australia).

I sunk a major amount of dollars in arcade machines. Double Dragon was my favorite, didn't really care for the control scheme of DD 2 but finished it. Bad Dudes, TMNT, XMen, The Simpsons...aaah

EA sure knows how to milk it. LOL Time to go back to SimCity, EA.

Thanks for the updates Aspro, Ravenprose,  etc

BTW is it just me or did the Wii Vc have a lot of games, not available on Switch, or elsewhere.

I want to play Super Star Wars trilogy again.

Shoot, the Wii U VC had more retro games than Switch. Nintendo really half-assed it with NSO. There's a lot more N64 games on Switch at least.

Oddly, SNES Super Star Wars is on PS4, but not the sequels. I own it. It's ridiculously difficult, mostly due to the awkward jumps. I have a lot of nostalgia for it, though, even though I can't get pass the Jawa crawler stage.

I only played the original on Snes but bought the sequels on wii.

Didn't play them much. Wish I did the wii to wii u transfer before it ended. I think I had the idea of keeping the wii to have the option of having it hooked up on one tv. And the wii u on a different tv.

Should have just dumped the wii in the bin and done the transfer.
