All this time I thought Octopath Traveller was a new mode in Splatoon 2 that GG was playing. Uneasy

LOL I never even made the Octo connection.

I've read a few previews of Octopath, and they seem to agree that it's really not THAT similar to FF6, other than the art style maybe. I think it was some Kotaku guy who said it's more like the Saga series than anything else. People all like it, but they also say it has some issues. It'll probably be a fun but flawed old school RPG.

I've played both demos extensively and I cant find any flaws. That partly because it is a very simple straightforward game in most aspects. But that's part of why I like it. Its the old school vibes, atmosphere and well told story that makes it good. Reminds me of Golden Sun but darker.

Played more RE revelations 2, last night. Seems good but I'm getting annoyed with the two character switching mechanic. I know they put it there for co-op but it's just annoying. Also while the motion controlled aiming it great, you can't use the right stick to quickly turn the screen left and right. There may be a way of tweaking it in the settings but so far when you have the aim button down there is this lag when you want to dramatically shift your perspective quickly.

Played some Splatoon2 turf war this evening for the first time in ages. Had a good time, both the stages in rotation were a lot of fun. Tried out some new dualies with the smart bombs and a splashdown special. I still think the splashdown is OP and cheap though.

Maybe you have to play deeper into the game to see what they're talking about. I'll definitely pick it up at some point.

Anyone here play Borderlands 2?

This game is pissing me off. I am about halfway through the main quest and all the sudden there's this insane difficulty spike. I fucking hate that shit. It's like they force you to go play side quests just to level up enough to beat the rest of the main missions. Side quests are supposed to be OPTIONAL, you fucking cunts.

I don;t remember having this issue with the first game, but it's been a long time.

I co-oped it as well. Great, enjoyable game. Where are you at, and what are you playing as? There's an element of luck involved as well in what kind of weapons you get, as they can heavily influence your game.

I played through the game as both Maya and Acton. A ton is a great single player choice, as his skill tree can culminate in deploying 2 turrets with shields and missile launchers, which can obliterate enemies as well as draw fire away from you. Maya is great fun in co-op as she's good at crowd control and healing.

That's why I'm having a hard time...they clearly want you to co-op but I'm trying to play solo. Hardly anyone is on the PS4 version at this point in time, and the few people I've got to join my game, well...one had fucking hip hop blasting through his headphones and the other was an annoying little kid.

I did find a spot to do some farming so I leveled up a little bit...I'm now at level 20, and I think mission 12 in the main story? I'm the sniper guy.

Yeah, the sniper would make it pretty hard. Can't he unlock an ability that heals you for every headshot or something?

Maybe I could redownload the game and join you one day, Edge.  Sadly, my save was on a PS3.  It doesn’t transfer, does it?

I decided to give PS Now service a try with the free 7 day trial. Games are playable, but the very noticeable lag hurts the fun. Sad

Hmmm...I'm not sure. I will have to look into that.

That would be cool but I'm hoping to finish this up in the next few days. I want to bang out the Handsome Collection asap just to get it done. I'm not sure about the saves...there IS an option on the main menu for cross saves but I don't know if it means PS3 to PS4?

I was thinking about checking this out too...I figured it would be laggy. I wish Sony would have just went the normal backwards compatible route and held off on this streaming shit for awhile. It's just not ready yet. But I know PS3 BC would be a pain in the ass on the PS4, especially considering the PS3 actually has a better CPU. That's the main thing I'm excited about with Playstation 5 and Xbox 4. They're both supposed to be using Ryzen custom cpu's, so they will be by far the most capable consoles, cpu-wise, in a loooong time. In theory, this should also make backwards compatibility on the new consoles much easier to handle.

Just heard that Shenmue Collection is widescreen with 4;3 cutscenes, english or japanese voice work, and the loading times have been almost erased. That should make the games a hell of a lot more tolerable.
