So the Doom Switch interview says the game is 16gb on the cart and the multiplayer download is 9gb.

And yet they could have just paid for a 32gb cart. They basically went for a cheaper cart and screwed us.

LOL at the headline "Hell in a hand basket" for the Doom on the Switch article. Brilliant.

I didn't get the joke till you pointed it out lol.

My condolences Vader.  Losing people is always rough, no matter how old or healthy they were.

Ahhhh Mass Effect, such squandered potential. Yet one of my favorite series of the past generation, even though the games devolved into something that wasn't an RPG at all.

Yeah, it pretty much became an adventure game with shooter elements. Would have been interesting if they kept going the KOTOR route.

Mario vs Rabbids fanbase, I am calling out for your aid!

My son wants to ask the game for his birthday, but I fear it's a bit too advanced for a kid who's just turning 6.  And doesn't comprehend English. How smooth is the learning curve? Does the game rely heavily ob dtext and menus?  How about the humour, are there a lot of jojes or mainly visial gags?

My local Best Buy has about 15-20 Switch systems in stock today. I saw them in the case. If course it's only in stock when I can't afford it. Sad

No. I've been off the walker since September 2nd. I used a cane for a couple weeks, now I'm walking ok without it; i have a bit of a limp still.

Pfft, he caused the earthquake. Slapping his mammoth wang on the ground.

Might be a little tough for him.  There is a lot of text but just story related, mostly. Once he figures out the controls, then he may be set.  My son is eight and has breezed through most of it.  I do help him from time to time, especially on the last world, but he’s figured out good strategies by himself.  There is an easy mode but all it does is make your hp one and a half times what it normally is.

Good for you.  You’ve seem to have come pretty far in a short period of time.  I just started with a cane last week and can walk a few steps without.  I’ll probably still use it a little when I go back to work on October 2.

Completed the other half of the Project Octopath Traveler. Day one purchase. I was sick yesterday and yet playing the demo made me feel awesome. I didn't want to stop playing. Love the battle system, voice acting is great. Philips VA is Dick Van Dyke Mary Poppins bad it's hilarious. Love the battle system. Feels like an awesome SNES game.

Are the controls for the fights mapped to buttons, like is 'shoot' always A, or is it heavily menu based?  If it's all directly mapped to buttons he'll be able to just memorize it.  How deep does the combat go and do you need to dabble in customiation, or can he get through without worrying about stuff like stat multipliers and perk systems?  And how clear is it what does what?  If he an just scroll through an inventory with images of the items and a big number indicating what is strongest, he should do fine.

You use the Rz and Lz to select your actions, movement, shooting, shields, power ups, etc.  you use r and l to select which character.  You’ll receive coins and orbs.  The coins are for buying stronger primary and secondary weapons.  Some can have bonuses like fire or honey, which keeps an opponent from moving.  It’s pretty obvious what damage your weapon will do

So you scroll through your possible actions? Are they represented by text or icons?

I got Dolphin running on my PC. Played some Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Eternal Darkness, and Metroid Prime in 1080p with an Xbox One Elite controller. Yeah...unless these games get straight up remakes, I don't think I really need remasters. This more than covers that. LOL

Tried to get some N64 and Saturn emu's running, but they were giving me issues. Going to have to work out the kinks there.

But the Snes, GBA, and Genesis emu's are running like a dream....full screen, 1080p and again with Xbox One elite controls. IDK why I never really tried doing this before...it sure as hell beats hooking up old ass consoles and tiny screen handhelds. Magical.
