MCV: Has Nintendo's Wii U turned a corner?
There are a lot of conversations going on about what is coming next year. Splatoon is key, Captain Toad is one I’m looking forward to, and of course Zelda. mcvuk.com gamingeek
It's one of the few games on Xbox One. People will buy any old flop when there's nothing else to play.
Best selling new IP of all time, the opposite of a flop.
As noted on Australia's leading podcast about gaming, this has more to do with The Publishers breaking the marketing code to get us to buy anything they want more than a representation of quality. (Cite, Watch Dogs doing same thing when it launched).
You have two missions left.....stop whining and finish it!!
I have a hard time believing you even finished it. Pruuuuf??!
Pic of the day. Zael from The Last Story grabs some Superspicy Curry from Master Hand. "No…! You mustn't let that curry lure you in…!!" In the Wii U version, you can take photos of dream collaborations and funny situations with your trophies in the Photo Studio.
Bethesda has given PC users the tools to unlock The Evil Within's built-in 30fps cap, but we couldn't help but wonder - just how much computational power is required to double the game's frame-rate and produce a sustained, consistent 60fps experience at 1080p? It turns out that our PC test rig - fitted with a Core i7 3770K overclocked to 4.3GHz and matched with 16GB of DDR3 - couldn't handle it, not even when outfitted with the GeForce GTX 980, the fastest single-chip graphics card available on the market today.
What's curious is that despite The Evil Within's apparently mammoth system requirements for the best experience, what looks like a straight, under-optimised PC conversion works fairly well with entry-level enthusiast hardware. As we've seen in the past, a hard 30fps lock can give both CPU and GPU a lot of "wiggle room" - and in the case of The Evil Within, a lowly Core i3 4130 paired with a £100 GTX 750 Ti produces an experience very close indeed to the PS4 version.
Fairly impressive number for Destiny, but I'll be honest I was expecting more. Almost 600K copies in a month? That just makes it the most successful flop of all time.
And Hyrule Warriors really should have done more too. Pity a few closed minded people . . . lord knows I hate to name names so I won't . . . but it's a pity that a few closed minded people wouldn't give such an epic tale a chance.
I tells you, once these games on this list come out, I will officially be happy enough with the Virtual Console. Definitely could be better, but the library is looking pretty good with the current GBA and SNES additions.

LMAO
The Evil Within is not really even a graphics intensive game. It looks NICE....but something like Alien Isolation just blows it away. (As does many other games) So if it doesn't run on a beast machine like that, I guess it means they just didn't optimize the game right. It sure as fuck isn't because the production values are so high level.

You fiend! Traitorous Dog! Couple of missions? Ye tell lies I say, any scury sea dog can see it. I flayed thrice more missions and now I head to Africa for another.
Right near the end and they want me to junk another 40 ships to upgrade my ship and find 20,000 somehow THIS FUCKING GAME. Right near killing torres part 2, observatory part 2.

Revealing Smash Bros Wii U "True Potential"
So the general consensus is that "true potential" is the code for "8-player Brawl?" That would be cool. Super-ultra madness!

I might just wait till someone gifts it to me.
