What the hell is this RE story?! This is what Capcom has been reduced to, giving out their big franchises to random western devs. I hope this is just a side game, an Outbreak like game would be acceptable but they better not touch the main series.
And why this developer, you can't find one that has a far better game history, one that has a better track record. Instead you go with the SOCOM B-Team, WHAT?!
This is terrible news, RE needs to stay internal, it needs to be less western.
There isn't much easterness in the RE games anymore anyway, save for clunky item menus, unintelligible plot and ass-backwards control schemes. The franchise will be alright. It survived Outbreak, after all. It'll survive this as well.
Just a rumor for now, but it's looking like that's the way it is going. Remember, Capcom was empahsisizing how they wanted to get out RE6 "ASAP", this might just be a cash-call. In anycase, now that Mikami is gone, I don't care anymore.
Yeah, it's disheartening to see these Capcom franchises being handed over to B-team western developers. It'd be pretty cool if a top team worked on them though.
Slant Six Games did pretty good with the PSP Socom games, but that PS3 Socom they made was terrible, right? The worst Socom game ever. Doesn't sound promising with this rumored RE game they're supposedly working on.
For me personally, a multiplayer shooter set in the RE universe sounds like a great idea on paper, but I wish someone like Epic, Respawn, or even Tri-arch was doing it since they've found success with online shooters. Slant Six Games' flopped hard with Socom Confrontation...not good.
I'm not so sure if this will be RE6. From what I read, it looks like it could be a multiplayer online shooter set in the RE universe, kind of like Mercenaries without the tank controls.
That doesn't sound to bad when you think about it. I think a RE online shooter that played like Gears, or better yet like Uncharted 2, would be pretty cool! It's just too bad that a B-team developer is doing it.
I wish Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2's multiplayer team was making it. Imagine how awesome that'd be!
Too bad that'll never happen.

"I'm not so sure if this will be RE6. From what I read, it looks like it could be a multiplayer online shooter set in the RE universe, kind of like Mercenaries without the tank controls."

But that's exactly what RE6 is going to be.
I think your freakout on the podcast was better.
Review embargo, IGN review hits at 9am US ASK, you can pla online with anyone like in COD or MOHH2. You can just jump into an online match, it's not like you can only play with registered friends. So far we have the NGamer Holland review which was an 8.5 and solid game, details are in the big thread. N
Quick question here, how many Ace Attorney games have you bought and if you stopped playing the series and didn't get the next game. Why?
Famitsu scores
Tactics Ogre: Unmei no Wa (PSP, Square Enix): 9 / 9 / 9 / 9 - (36/40)
God of War: Koutan no Kokuin (PSP, Sony): 10 / 9 / 9 / 9 - (38/40)
Tongari Boushi to Mahou no Otana (NDS, Konami): 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 - (32/40)
Mafia 2 (PS3/Xbox 360, 2K Games): 7 / 7 / 8 / 7 - (29/40)
Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 (PS3/Xbox 360, Bandai Namco): 8 / 8 / 8 / 7 - (31/40)
WiiWare demos will once again be available to download from the Wii Shop Channel, Nintendo's announced.
Every WiiWare demo featured on the Wii Shop Channel will be available for a limited time only, and the line-up will be constantly refreshed – there's a dedicated list on wiiware.Nintendo.co.uk as well as on the Wii Shop Channel itself.
Kicking things off from Friday 5th November are four WiiWare demos: Furry Legends (Gamelion), Jett Rocket (Shin'en Multimedia), ThruSpace (Nintendo) and Zombie Panic in Wonderland (Akaoni Studio).
A year ago Nintendo ran a trial program for downloadable demos that saw a handful of WiiWare games given the try before you buy treatment. That trial ended in January this year
I just bought the first one, loved it, but felt it was too reliant on text and couldn't find the time to try the others.
So looking at Force Unleashed 2 reviews, it seems that Lucasarts have completely failed this gen. Fracture?
Then Indy had all this euphoria tech, turned into a cheap-ish fun-ish Wii game. Even with Euphoria and Naturalmotion and all this new tech, both Force Unleashed games came out as 7.5 games.
And they cancelled that awesome looking Battlefront 3 game by Free Radical.
So even though you felt it was too reliant on text, you still loved it? So what made you not get the second game? You must have time because you play other games right?
I just get this feeling that people played and loved the first, maybe even the second but then just drifted out of the series. I find it intriguing as to why.
I loved it, but honestly felt like I would waste my money on a second one. I don't think I would devote the time it takes to play. The same with Professor Layton, played the first, but haven't touched any of the others. I've strayed from a lot of DS games lately and stuck to consoles. Maybe if I was going on a trip ( will be in December) I would devote time to games like that, but I usually end up driving anyway.
I mainly play portables in bed, reading them like a book.
This comes from the call of duty black ops wii board.
That's promising. I'm still gonna rent first.
I never buy games I rent, which is a shame as I really liked Jade Empire and Conflic Desert Storm.
More Goldeneye impressions
"Picked it up at midnight at my wal mart as well and loving every minute of it. Really good game and props to Eurocom for making an excellent shooter on wii. Cant wait to play split screen tomorrow with my friends!"
"Yes. I have been playing Goldeneye today to relieve myself of the stress of my MoH:Heroes copy. Goldeneye is friggin' awesome. Please do not dismiss it as it has been previously. Not saying its a must buy, but it is pretty damn awesome. I wish I had more controllers, because the Multi splitscreen would be the real shizz. Oddjob for the win."
Everyone is gonna wanna play as Oddjob.
