“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, but her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary…with potentially tragic consequences.

A cross-dressing robber with fake breasts and a blonde wig has been arrested by police because he failed to shave off his beard. Skip related content

Other robbers have donned different disguises including Darth Vader and Father Christmas.

But officers have labelled Dennis Hawkins the "dumbest" after his alleged raid on a bank in Pennsylvania.

When he was arrested, the 48-year-old suspect was found sitting in a car and covered in red dye from an exploding packet that was in a bag of money.

CCTV of the suspect, who also wore clown trousers, has been released following the raid in Swissvale.

Hawkins apparently robbed the premises at gunpoint, using a toy BB gun he had stolen from a store.

He then allegedly got into a woman's car and she got out, took her keys and alerted police.

Hawkins, of North Braddock, was discovered sitting in the vehicle by officers.

Swissvale Police Chief Greg Geppert said: "He would get my nomination for dumbest criminal I think, yeah he's definitely different.

"I mean with the wig on you still have the face. His black facial hair with a blondish wig, definitely different."

The suspect is currently in custody and is due to appear in court.

This is lame.

I haven't touched a game in three days and it was only for 20 minutes to beat Red Steel 2. Before that it was several gameless weeks.

I can't even muster the will to try all the new games I have like Anno or Assasins Creed 2, or Bayonetta. I'm going to take a nap.

Dude, you should really get on Ass Creed 2. The game is awesome.

I finished Red Dead Redemption last night...and ended up with only 18% of the trophies. I fucking hate playing all the way through a game and not even getting half the awards. Problem usually is as it is here; they're all for mundane, stupid shit. Great game though....I'd give it around an 8.8 or so. Missions are repetitive like most open-world games though.

Not sure what to start next. Halo Wars? Mario Galaxy 2? Dragon Age Awakening? All 3?

That new RPG from the Elder Scrolls dude looks and sounds really great. I like this idea they have right here:

"If you've played Oblivion or Morrowind, you have an idea of what Rolston likes. Big open worlds with a vast narrative. For Reckoning, he wants to smooth out what he calls the "clunky" elements of RPGs. We tend to accept the poor animations and moderately good combat system of Oblivion because it's an RPG. Ralston isn't accepting that excuse anymore. Reckoning needs to look good, play brilliantly and have all the expected elements for those who loved Oblivion."

"His role isn't just to design some creatures, but to oversee all aspects of the visual world, including how creatures move and interact with the world. When you take on a big creature, it requires you to make big, exaggerated moves. If you're going to kill something, you go all out. He demonstrated by standing on the table, swinging wildly, and frightening several small children. But the basics are spot on. You want to feel the scale of the world and when you come across something big and nasty, you want the earth to shake beneath its feet."

8.8 for Red Dead? It's supposed to be really good.

Was it just the repitition that brings it down.

Mike Newell- director of Prince of Persia movie

I'm entirely incompetent at playing video games. In the Prince Of Persia game, you have to run across walls - I could never get more than three feet without falling into the revolving knives. I was hopeless.

And yet I knew I had to satisfy the gamers with the Prince Of Persia movie. It's an important audience and it's a very vocal audience. If they don't like something, you're going to hear. I didn't want that to happen.

They were worried. They said 'there's never been a good movie of a video game - how are you going to be different?'.

The answer was that I didn't try to make a movie of the game. I tried to make a movie that, in some aspects, had the spirit of the game.

Let's be clear - for Hollywood, video games change everything. Of course they do. I have a 14-year-old son, he's a bright kid, he goes to a good school, and what he does for at least 45 minutes every night is he gets online and he kills people in various scenarios and various parts of the world.

'Hello Billy, where are you tonight?'

'Erm, Borneo.'

'Oh. Is that where palm trees are?'

'Yep.'

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

If I think it changes everything - and I do - what I have to do is to say: 'You can't just accept the morals of that. There's got to be something more. There has to be a sense of human complexity.'

And so, I tried to make the relationships between the characters [in Prince Of Persia] as sophisticated as I could.

One of the things I notice from the gamers - whether you are representing them or not - at every damn press roundtable, they take over. And they mustn't. They don't want it.

They say there's never been a decent movie of a game made yet. Well one of the reasons maybe is that people are trying to make movies of the games - for them! Why don't we just go off to the side a little bit? Why don't we do what I tried to do, which is to take the good bits? You know, just massage them into a proper drama. [Prince of Persia] is that.

God Damn the gamers! Get them out of my head! The Prince Of Persia movie is a great big, general entertainment with a romance, a boy and a girl, comedy, action and a very good melodramatic story. It should be enormous, free reign entertainment. That's what a Bruckheimer movie is, and that's what this tries to do.

But when the discussion turns to the minutiae of the games, it begins now to bore the arse of me, frankly.

[We ask: At which point do video games become a threat to Hollywood?]

Well, here we are, talking about the God damn games again. The answer is yes, of course they can become a threat to Hollywood. But [they're] not to do so with drama in any real sense.

When people watch 24, they're watching for the surprise, you know - when is the great big bad surprise going to step out from behind the palm tree. When they watch The Wire, they're watching the human drama of it.

You can't do it without the human drama. And the video game cannot do that. The video game can do all sorts of face-pulling, all sorts of: 'I am a bad man, I have a mean jagged sword,', but it can't do any more than that.

[The Prince Of Persia movie] does not mean to put two fingers up to the gamers or insult them - but it's not the game. It can't be the game.

Don't get me wrong - I watched the game and took many things from it. But I haven't had the experience of feeling in a game. The one thing I do not do when I watch my son mow down Brazilians by the regiment - nor when I watched my assistants playing Prince Of Persia - I don't feel anything, which is why I hate my son doing it.

[We ask Newell if he'd ever consider turning his talents to games...]

That's what they say. That's what the gamers in San Francisco [at the Wondercon event earlier this year, where PoP was premièred] said: "We need people like you doing the games." Which is cool. I absolutely get that.

But as a filmmaker, we have to make our audience feel something. Because if they don't feel, they haven't been through anything.

And I know, when I look at my 14-year-old's glazed eyes, that killing 3,000 Brazilians doesn't mean anything, really.

Stop it, force yourself to do something. Try everything, new games, old games, play 20 minutes of every game you own. Do a sort of marathon, come up with a reason to play. Or do something else. Do something.

You know what is annoying to me, countries that list their dates in the days/month/years format. I assume that is almost every country besides the US, well you are all wrong.

Having the day as the first number, as the first piece of information is useless. The day doesn't give you the right frame of reference, it just tells you where in a month you are. The month is the most important number of a date. A year is so big that it doesn't matter much, a day is too small to really tell you when something is but a month gives you the perfect reference. That should be the first number of a date so that immediately you have it set in your mind around when this thing will take place, then you use the day and year to narrow down the date.

Example a game is coming out on:

22/12/10 - Here you read it and you first see 22, omg its coming out on the 22nd that could mean any month, who knows when.

or

12/22/10 - Here you see 12 immediately, instantly your mind knows its december, you already placed the date in the proper time frame and then you can use the day to pick out when in the month it is. So much better.

And that is your pointless argument of the day. Enjoy.

You know what is even more annoying to me? Ass-backwards logic. LOL

Which one is the lesser time unit? Days. That goes first. Which one is intermediate? Months. That goes second. Which one is the largest? Years. That comes last. See? There is order in that arrangement. Elegance and order.

You dumb americans are too stubborn to realize you're still using anachronic measuring systems, or ass-backwards date formats. I stab at thee! Argh!

I actually had to convert Metric tons to moon speak American gibberish. So we had two crane tables, one with a value of say 1200 metric tons and the other was like 312,934 something.

How the fuck do you guys live with this inadequate system? Accident will happen because of this inane backward system.

Oh and days change most, so it is logical that is goes first.

I know that is the reasoning but its stupid. You guys put it that way cause it goes in a nice order, yay its pretty! Screw pretty, go for efficiency.

Let me ask you something, a game is coming out some time this year. I will let you choose to have only one more part of the date, either a month or just a day, which piece of information will you choose. EVERYONE will want to know the month, cause a day alone is useless. I tell you a game comes out in May at least you know it comes out in May. I tell you a game comes out on the 13th but I don't give you a month, that means nothing.

The month is the most important aspect of a date, that should be first.

Everyone that works in an industry that uses lots of numbers and equations uses the metric system like everyone else. Its the general public that uses the old system for every day use.

You are not making any sense.

What if you have to work on a project abroad. Just having the month is not enough. Coming a day to late will get you fired.

Day/month/year are all needed. The day changes the most, so it go first.

WRONG. I work in the industry and Mammoet had to convert all the values. Sure we also put metric in it, because we are not dumb, but the client wanted that and they were a petrochemical site. And many cranes manufacturers like Liebher and Demag/Terex have the crane tables in both metric and imperial units.

Wait...what?

Why would you have to choose only two parts of the full date?

Even more, what precludes you from viewing the full date instead of mentally blocking your vision field once you reach the first part of it?

Do you see the first number and say "Woe is me! My eyes can't go any further past that imposing, impervious barrier that is the slash sign! What will I ever do?"

Weirdo. <3

I have explained it already, the month puts you in the right frame of time, you need that first to make a day make sense. It is dumb to put something that on its own doesn't really tell you when in a year you are first, you need the month to make the day mean something. So why put the month after the day, its backwards. You need a month first, then a day tells you where in a month you are.

Using your example, I have to work on a project, I need to know when this project is. Now lets forget years cause if someone asks you to do a project odds are its within a year, so lets stick with months and days. Which piece of information given to you first will mean the most to you. You have to go overseas on the15th... ok what does that tell you. It could be the 15th of this month, of next month, of the next 6 months. You have no reference to tie that date down. It is a useless number when given to you first.

Now if I give you the month first, say you will have a project in November now at least you know a certain time frame of when this project will take place. Now you have a small range of dates, now being told the day means something.

Well thats the part of why this argument is dumb and just for fun. Still its nice to have the most important piece of information first so your brain could put the date in a proper context quicker.
