 It better godamn happen. How can the movie world ignore a comic which is like an orgy of all the best Marvel characters and the cosmic beings of the universe? Then we need two sequels with the Infinity Crusade and the other one with the Magus.

Yeah, I've heard quite a bit about Dark Resurrection and Tekken 6. About Dark Res - does it have the additional arcade games from the PS2 version, or aren't they in this version?

Sony has reminded prospective PlayStation Move owners that only the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5 will support its new Move peripheral.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition was released months after the original title. It featured the Versus mode and downloadable chapters.

'If you already own a copy of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition for your PS3, you'll be able to download a free patch close to the launch of the PlayStation Move (September 19th in North America) to enable the new motion-control scheme" said Sony's senior social media specialist, Sid Shuman.

'This will only work with RE5 copies labeled "Gold Edition" - the original version of RE5 won't be receiving the patch, for technical reasons."

Fortunately all post-Move release copies of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will "come with PlayStation Move support included on the disc", so all is not lost.

Yeowch.

Marvel's all-ages books have started doing an interesting thing lately - in dedicated mini-series the line is adapting classic Marvel stories from years and decades past. Recently we saw Secret Wars brought over, and today Marvel is announcing the Infinity Gauntlet saga is next.

Brought on board to tackle this sweeping storyline is Brian Clevinger, known best for his hilarious work on Atomic Robo as well as his various webcomics. Joining Clevinger will be artist Brian Churilla (Rex Mundi). We had the chance to fire over some questions via e-mail to Clevinger to get his early thoughts on pitting the Avengers and Thanos against each other once again.

Avengers and the Infinity Gauntlet is four issues long and begins this August.

IGN Comics: Give us the basics here – what's the plot of Avengers & The Infinity Gauntlet. What's the focus of the plot?

Brian Clevinger: The Earth plunges into chaos when half the population suddenly disappears. Villains take advantage of the fear and confusion because that's what evil jerks do. The hero community is in way over its head between trying to help with both the global strife and the sudden wave of supervillainous activity. The heroes use superscience to figure out the source of whatever it was that took everyone away and they send The Avengers to investigate. Only, the "real" Avengers are among those who disappeared! So, these aren't the Avengers you'd necessarily expect to see.

And that's just the first issue. The bulk of the series will focus on The Avengers' perilous journey into space to confront the source of this global disaster only to discover the stakes are far larger than what they could have ever imagined! If whatever happened doesn't get fixed, and soon, it'll be the end of all civilization in the galaxy.

IGN Comics: Brian, we've been following your work on Atomic Robo for some time now. What made you choose to try your hand at Marvel's characters now, and why this project specifically?

Clevinger: They asked me to! I've been a fan of Marvel's all-ages line for years. They're some of the most immediately accessible books on the shelves, and that's the kind of content this industry needs as distribution options make comics more visible to larger audiences. Besides, when Marvel calls, and they tell you, "We want you to take the basic skeleton of his huge iconic event, and do whatever you with it, and we want you to use whatever characters you like, and we'll pay you for it," it's not something you can resist.

IGN Comics: Will the storyline focus on any particular heroes – anyone different from the original event?

Clevinger: The Avengers this time around are Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Dr. Doom. Hey, the world's going to hell, if Doom's gonna to take it over he's got to make sure it's saved first. So, there's some familiar faces, but This Ain't Your Daddy's Infinity Gauntlet. I mean, there's space pirates in this version.

Basically, I knew my version couldn't compare to the original. My best bet would be to go all the way and tell a version of the Infinity Gauntlet that couldn't be confused for an attempt to be compared to the original. They'll be compared anyway, it's only natural, but I hope it's clear that they're two very different stories. They're predicated on similar events, but the way each one goes about resolving those events is so different it'll be silly to judge one by the other.

The original Infinity Gauntlet is full of sweeping early '90s cosmic Marvel opera. Mine has Spider-Man and Dr. Doom on the same team. And a space trucker.

IGN Comics: The Infinity Gauntlet is a fairly dark storyline, particularly when Thanos kills half the living beings in the universe. Is it possible to maintain an all-ages tone amidst events like that?

Clevinger: "All Ages" doesn't mean "For Babies." You can tell stories with tragedy or action or death such that a kid and an adult will enjoy it. We do this all the time in Atomic Robo.

IGN Comics: What kind of tone are you going for? Are you leaning heavily towards the styles and visuals established in the original Gauntlet storyline?

Clevinger: This storyline is notably lighter than the original. It's more of a road trip adventure than a cosmic conflict. So, we'll go for lighter art to match. That said, the artist we have lined up, Brian Churilla, has this great old school spine running through his work. I've been a fan of his work since I first saw it in Engineer. So, there will be that classic element to the art too. Basically, a modern sensibility with a nod to the classic style of the original Infinity Gauntlet.

IGN Comics: Is there anything else you guys would like to add regarding Avengers & The Infinity Gauntlet?

Clevinger: C'mon, it's got Dr. Doom working with a bunch of good guys! You know that's gonna be a fun ride.
