Yeah I just beat "Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake". Man what a great game third best Metal Gear in the series in my opinion.
Guess I should play this for more than an hour someday. You play as Raiden? So what weapons do you use compared to Snake? Weird futuristic stuff?
No he is talking about Metal Gear 2 not MGS. That is the second Metal Gear game, it came out only in Japan on the MSX and has since been included in the Subsistance pack. Its an incredible game. You basically find that MGS1 borrowed almost all gameplay ideas from this game.
On MGS2 no you dont get any different weapons, well not till the very end when you get a sword.
This is why I hate it when people do "MGS"="MG". I've seen "Metal Gear 4" used in different places (even by the lady who voice acted for Naomi) to refer to Metal Gear SOLID 4, and it pisses me off. Canon-wise, MGS2 was the fourth Metal Gear game, while MGS4 was the seventh, I believe.
I haven't beaten MG2 yet, but I was very surprised when I saw how many things were duplicated in MGS1--box, cigs, crawling, enemies and how they're encountered (e.g. Frank Jaeger), and more that I'm not remembering at the moment. MG2 is an awesome game, so much better than MG1 (which I also like).
BTW, my monitor died, so if my posting frequency (which was already low) seems even lower than usual, it's probably because I'm not on a computer nearly as much right now. I hope to send my monitor in to Viewsonic soon, but I'm not sure how long it'll be before I can use my computer again, as I've read a few horror stories about Viewsonic customer service and returns.

Their boards were down this time yesterday but other than that they have been fine.
Except you Iga. You kick my arse just by reading my threads through the internet. But hey, you are not buying into this whole New Control BS are you?

Well I did enjoy Twilight Princess
Peter Moore showing his guns. There should be a game about that.
