Since we have no forum, I think we should do like a topic a day if someone suggests it.
I will suggest one for Today:
If you could make you own graphic adventure game, what would it be like?
Things to consider:
Okay my Graphic Adventure would be set in the late 1940's.
It would be called the Japanese Macaque.
It would have a very lucasrarts feel to it, an old school 2-D game with visuals akin to Full Throttle but a little darker. Actually scratch that, it would have a Batman the Animated series stye of art deco running through it.

It would be a real gumshoe P.I tale. Something like Phillip Marlow or Dashiel Hammet would write. Set near Mount Vernon near the canadian border.
The main character would be a real heart on his sleeve P.I, down on his luck with a cute college girl as his secretary. One late night a woman would come to town asking our lead character to track down her ex-husband, who has reportedly stolen something very valuable from her.
On his case, our PI will encounter local crime bosses, crooked police, local scum, a crazy alien fanatic who lives in a dumpster, drug dealers and an abused addict girl. Oh and a legendary crazy monk. The gameplay will be all point and click, investigative stuff, full speech. But there would also be a couple of sections where your character would duck for cover and you would use the mouse or something like a wii pointer or DS touch screen to shoot.
No I am not joking! Check out all the other answers none are serious. The reason for my joy is that some one at Free Radical has read it. It is in their hands now, you done your part. Be happy.
About your grahic adventure game:
Day of the Tentacles.
Is about Japanese school girls and tentacles. You figure out the rest.
Games degrees are much better than tey used to be. But it often boils down to whether you know how to use the relevant toolset, or whether your portfolio has good looking stuff in it. I myself did a totally unrelated degree, but was doing relevant stuff in my spare time. So whilst there is sometimes a route through a degree, it's not necessarily the only route.
Also, you are gay.
Hahahaha.
That's the first thing I noticed too.
This is why I love Free Radical...except for Haze.
Morning from Melbourne all - just finished a hot chocolate and heavily anticipating the new week in news.
I bought Mega Man 9 and Lost Winds on WiiWare today. I've played about a half hour of each, and they are both AWESOME! Mega Man 9 is absolutely brutal. I'm having a blast with it! And anyone who doesn't love those NES-styled graphics are just dumbasses! The only thing that I'm disappointed with is there's no Gamecube constroller support. I've been playing a lot of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection lately, and I've grown accustomed to using that controller. It's a very minor complaint, though.
Lost winds is a lot of fun too. I love the graphics in that game; it makes Star Wars: TFU looks like crap in comparison! Just playing 30 minutes of this game makes me wish Nintendo would make the next Metroid game 2D with 3D graphics (First person Metroid has been played out enough for now, IMO).
Well, I have to go to class now. Dammit!
Bu bu but you were supposed to be casual! Is Mega Man bringing back the hardcorez hamster?
I'd like to be a teaboy.
Does he get to teabag everyone else at work?
As someone who played it for the first time ever about 2 years ago. It was surprisingly enjoyable. Unlike most other 3rd person 3D games of that era it has aged extremely well. However the only complaint would be that the dungeons aren't crafted as well as say Twilight Princess. I can see why it is still remembered in the community however I don't see why some still refer to it as "the best game ever" as there are other games that "perfect" their genres far more then this game did. That saying it was one of the most "soulful" games I've played.

Ocarina has indeed awesome dungeons. Not as good as Twilight, but Twilight dungeons are some of the very best dungeons. What bothers me the most is the framerate. I looks like it runs at 20 frames. It feels akward, but it goes away once I got used to it!
Oh yeah I forgot about the subpar framerate.
Also about that Blockbuster thing. It looks like I didn't get the job since the lady called, can you believe it? She probably hired one of those poor souls.
Anyway do you guys think that anyone on GS could possibly be like those weirdos? I strongly suspect that Marcus is.

Zelda sucks, lets talk about something else. (Steel play it or die!)
Some people at gaf have impressions from Little Big Planet. Edge magazine claims its the best 2D platformer since Super Mario World.
Another user that is in the beta says:
So this looks to be the best 2D platformer since Super Mario World. *head explodes*
I'm reading now the GAF thread about penis levels.
I rented the first and the sequel I got online for $2. Both Xbox version. Max Payne is the FEAR of third person shooters, no level design to speak of, no variety to speak of, just shooting over and over and over.
MasterMarcus, or MarcusAntonius?
They both have the same personality. Bit too serious most of the time, and seem very opinionated.
Don't you mean Super Mario World 2 Vader?
Same here.
I only played the start of it for years (never owned my own copy) - and it was until recently that I actually made it past that a few days ago.
I can see why people love that game, but I need to play a bit mroe of it to see if it's really THAT great.
WTF? What's wrong with that? New Super Mario used 2.5D, and it was fantastic! I love true 2D sprites as much as the next guy, but there's nothing wrong with 2.5D either.
Huh? I've never been casual, nor have I been "hardcorez." I simply play what I like, and I likes teh old-school NES Mega Man games. I'm actually more of a retro gamer than I am a modern gamer; probably 60/40.
I own that GC Zelda OoT/Master Quest disk. I've only played a little bit of the Master Quest, but it is quite a bit different than the original OoT. I probably should go back and play through it one of these days.
Max Payne 1 & 2 were good rentals. Both were way too short, and I hated those dream sequence levels in the original Max Payne. Other than that, I enjoyed them both quite a bit on Xbox.
