There's a good chance this will turn out well then. I don't know if anyone else played this but it was a pretty faithful and technically proficient version of Max Payne.

You never played it? Fun games, overated though. The sequel is about as cookie cutter as they come. About the only difference was that they changed the main character model.
Oh. When I saw the boxart for the first time I thought it was a noir adventure game of some sort. Turned out to be a shooter.
Never cared for Max Payne game, played both, did not like either.
What's there not to like? You run around hitting the slow mo button and shooting stuff. Sure it's linear, basic and overwrought in its presentation. But they can be fun in places. If you didn't like 1 then why did you play 2 by the by?
Maybe he played the PS2 versions which supposedly sucked ass compared to Xbox.
