Its not that its a score its a rating. I do believe having a system for quick reference for reviews of any kind, movies, games, etc. I just do not believe that score/rating whatever should be calculated, its just what it is, a numerical value of your feelings of a game.

Than why work with a 100 score? A 5 star or 10/10 ratings are much better in that case. You know what you should do Vader? Whan reviewing a new game leave the score out. Than we should try to guess the score you have given it. That way, you can improve your writing without relying on as a clutch.

I dont care about improving my writing I care about just getting my opinion in some type of written format. I like having all my games rated and reviews, and only a scale of 100 gives me enough leeway to differentiate most games from another.  There is no science to it, its just picking a number but it works for me.

You would still score the game, but not show it imediately. It would be a nice experiment, but if you do not want to try it than its okay. Now for more important issue: Did you see Legend of Neil episode 3?

Oh ok I thought you meant in general don't score it. Sure that sounds like fun.

Yes I did see Neil, its my new favorite show. Never seen a man fuck a fairy before (oh god that can be taken so wrong...)

EDIT: Yes Edge, epic fail, wtf, Sunshine?! Sunshine...

I honestly liked Sunshine slightly more than Galaxy. I prefer the mulit-star hub levels, and I loved the gameplay mechanics of FLUDD. Gamespot once called Sunshine a "Pilotwings-platformer," and I agree with them. My favorite game on N64 is Pilotwings 64, and my second favorite is Mario 64; Nintendo basically combined elements of both games into Sunshine, and created a very unique and fun game.

Hamster what the hell are you saying. My favorite food is pizza and my second favorite food is ice-cream. Lets combine them! No no no noooo

Here are some problems, when you have a platformer where you can fly or hover, there is no challenge in the game. In sunshine the platforming is very easy with your hover nozzle because you can float, allign yourself, get a cup of tea and land. That's no challenge plus it is slow. Platforming is basically an obstacle course where you have to use your powers to get through. The nozzle breaks that challenge.

Your second point about multi star hub level! So you prefer doing the same level over and over again. Maybe you like to explore, but in Sunshine there is nothing to explore, because the only Shine that you can get is the one that your mission one, with the exception of a few secret ones. So you have an huge levels with only one Shine. The rest of the level is empty filler. Unless you like to hunt for blue coins.

So therefore Galaxy >> Sunshine (I still think Sunshine is awesome)

Do not take this the wrong way, but your opinion is wrong Nyaa

My advice play Kirby Dreamland 2. He can fly, copy powers of his enemies and guess what he can ride a hamster. That's right up your alley WinkWink

Ouch, poor dog! LOL

I actually found Sunshine to be a far more challenging game than Galaxy, not easier. FLUDD added so many more ways to play a level too. As far as the multi-star levels thing, yeah, I liked the exploration in those levels and finding all of the blue coins was a lot of fun. I also liked climbing to odd places like the very top of a high tower or building; this is impossible to do in most other games, but Nintendo allowed it. This added a ton of replay value for me.

The only Kirby game I've ever played was Kirby NES on VC which was good, but not great. I may have to try out Kirby 2 someday.

EDIT: Oh, and it's not like combining ice cream and pizza. It's more like adding spicy chicken to pizza and creating a delicious new treat.

The only challenge was when you lost your your hover nozzle. Like in the void levels, but did you get 120 stars in Galaxy? There are some levels, think daredevil commets, purple coin challenges that will easily take 10 lives at a time. I found Sunshine difficulty uneven. The normal levels were easy and the void levels were difficult, but I am not sure if it is because the platforming or because you are so used to using the hover nozzle as a clutch that you are lost without it. Galaxy imediately learn you the moves and you get better and better, and you are therefore better prepared for the harder levels.

I think you might find Assasins Creed to be enjoyable too. With the climbing an stuff. You seem to be a guy who likes exploring type of games. I think the Zelda's, Metroid's and Hamtaro Nyaa is better suited for you. Just keep it away from Mario, exploring should lead to secret levels and not to nice vistas.

About the blue coins! You are beyond hope Nyaa

Kirby Dreamland 2 is a Gameboy game. I think it might be hard to find. But you will probably think of it the same way as the other Kirby you played.

P.S. try looking on youtube for shortcuts in Galaxy, the game is  versatile than you think.

I've pretty much already had enough of Odin Sphere.  When you start draining my health and there's nothing I can do it about it, you can piss right off.

*sigh* see and THIS is why this game gets so much hate because most people don't read the manual or the games directions. Just go to the forest or valkyrie city and jump on the ground when you hear a squeak. When a carrot appears, kill it and mix it with a 0 (or 2?) potion and you will get 3 health potions. Or if worse comes to worst plant some seeds or find chests. It's as I've said before alchemy is a HUGE part of this game.

A health potion does not qualify as doing something about the continually declining health bar, and I don't care to have to keep a big load of potions that temporarily stop the decline either.

A preview of Little King Story

Not much new info, but it should get some of you hyped. Remember this game is going to be released in America in december this year!

It is made by: executive producer Yasuhiro Wada (Harvest Moon), producer Yoshirou Kimura (Harvest Moon, bonkers kiss-chase RPG Chulip), character designer Hideo Minaba (Final Fantasy XII) and director Youichi Kawaguchi (Dragon Quest VIII).

EDIT: Yes Edge, epic fail, wtf, Sunshine?! Sunshine...

I know that seems pretty crazy but come on people its his opinion. Let's not be like Neogaf and go go-go-ga-ga over other peoples opinions.

Declining Health Bar? Fill me in on what's happening because this doesn't sound familiar? Did you get poisoned?

Punk this is satire. He did the same a few post before with Gamespot and Tomb Raider 2. Check his post and you will see I was clearly making fun of him.

^^^^I don't know what satire means so I'm going to assume that it is negative. Why do you pick on Edge so much? What's he ever done to you?

Satire

1 : a literary work holding up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn
2 : trenchant wit, irony, or sarcasm used to expose and discredit vice or folly

Just having a little fun nothing serious. And me picking on Edge? What the hell are you talking about, I set my sights on hamster now!

But if you must know, I always pick on everybody and I expect them to do the same on me. So bring it!!!!

Capcom may include WiiMotion Plus as supplemental control method for games currently in development

"I can't speak for Japan's teams (I haven't spoken with Takeuchi or Inafune about it), but at CEI, we are eagerly awaiting access to the SDK to see what it's like to work with. We have a couple of projects we're contemplating some sort of support if it makes sense as a supplemental control mechanism." - Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development

Hopefully, this will happen with Dead Rising.

"Extreme cold."  Every new stage you take constant damage unless you use Warmer potions.  It's like being auto-poisoned at the start of each section.

You just have to create the "heat potion". I don't remember what the formula is (I think the halapino). Either way I think that level is suppose to be like that to ramp up the difficulty. But if you must there is a potion to it. Try to see if its in your alchemy book or if all else fails lok at some FAQS (there's also the moving to different map trick).

Remember when we used to get stuff like this for free? Definately not worth the extra money, IMO.
