I played Doom 3 up to the first proper boss back on Xbox but I don't remember it that well.

Christ this feels old. It's more like a survival horror game.

Needs a map, all rooms look the same. Backgrounds are nice, shame they didn't redo the character models. There's a lot of hairless individuals with hexagonal shaped heads.

Also wtf is up with all the Asians? I've never seen so many outside something like Shenmue or Yakuza.

It's not bad so far. The enemies magically popping up behind you sucks.

The dual analog aiming ugh. Even if someone or thing is dead center the cursor wildly swings too far.

Then the douchebags crouch.

The human demon ai feels weird. They have their minds overtaken by demons yet still have the wits to tactically flank you and reload weapons.

Cheevos can add an extra reason to put more time into certain games. I don;t pursue them like that any more, but I still like to see them, mostely to see what % of other players have gotten them as they indicate how deep into games most people go.  I've noticed with narrative driven games the completion percentages are always higher.

Do you guys even know how long we've known each other?

I distinctly remember talking with most of you in the PS2 Era.

It's getting to the point where your kids should join the site as the next generation.

BTW Doom 3 Switch port is excellent, native resolution in both modes and seems to be 60fps.

On the OLED the blacks are inky so the monsters literally come with no warning.
