Playing Switch 2 with joycon skins.

I broke out the mouse wrist strap thing that came with the console to try mouse mode again.

Didn't realise using it while playing with split joycon makes the controllers more comfortable so you don't get the sharp edge of the magnetic rail rubbing on your hand.

This Jablonsky  mission in Cyberpunk is butt hard.

If you get caught on a lamp-post using Jablonsky's ass crap pickup truck for a second he declares the mission over. Even if the car you're chasing is 50m away.

He then drives off bitching at you.

And you can't even blow him up , I blew the doors off his car but he was un killable.

I loaded a quick save and finally managed to get to the car and a firefight ensued.

At which point you're faced with a practically un killable swat team cop who soaks in multiple shots gun and precision rifles I have with virtually maxed out damage stats.

Jablonsky says to leave the target to him, but he doesn't seem to do anything. Is this a COD style mission which won't progress until I kill the target? As this cop won't die and his buddy shoots me in the back.

Edit - did it. And my client died at the same time I killed the target. Win win.

Been diving back into Dogtown in Cyberpunk.

It's looks incredible, even better than the main game. There are like 5x as many NPCs in busy areas, the lighting is better quality with multiple sources.

The image detail is on another level even over the base game.

Really impressive as it was built with more powerful systems in mind.

Does make me wonder why they couldn't jam in more NPC density into the main game.

It's worth it for the fashion show. I just go about checking the fabulous horror show.

Now when I see someone IRL wearing a cowboy hat, leather waistcoat, fluffy scarf and hotpants, I immediately think of Cyberpunk.

Been casually checking the forums today.

The hate for Microsoft seems to be a thing.

Thread after thread of people disgruntled with them. And also articles such as "Microsoft was never good at managing studios, which is a problem now they own everything"

There's former devs and execs worming their way out of the shadows to stick the knife in. Okay bad framing but none of them seem happy.

This former Arkane studios guy on twitter now thinks Gamepass is/was never sustainable and only functioned because MS had infinite money.

Now he thinks it's a plan to wreck everyone, and claim even more control of the market.

Like when Chinese steel companies undercut steel markets in other countries, closing down plants, then claiming a huge share of the market now rivals are dead.

Split Fiction is wild, often hilarious, chaotic, and fantastic. I don't want to spoil so I will say you've got to play it. Great multiplayer fun.

Watched some people playing it on a stream and does look like a great game and a lot of fun indeed.

Hey guys found a cool mouse mode experience on switch 2 if you were curious.

On the eshop a mouse cursor appeared because for a second I covered the mouse sensor with my fingertip.

Then I just faced it down the way Metroid Prime 4 engaged mouse mode and it worked.

Since the eshop doesn't have gyro controls, mouse mode made it easier to use it like an actual website and you still have sticks and buttons to use too. So the stick becomes a scroll wheel and you can use the ZR as your mouse click button.

Also I can confirm that with a joycon grip, not a mouse grip, it bulks up the joycon enough to feasibly use comfortably as an actual mouse.

I hope all FPS and point and click adventure games have this as a bare minimum.

There are lots of point and click adventure games that don't have gyro and some Fps that don't have gyro on switch.

Since most of these games have PC versions they should already have mouse controls that should be easy to transfer over to switch 2.

Why is the eshop such crap? I can't even find demos to play. I type in "demo" and nothing. When I booted up the Switch 2 this morning there was an advertisement for free games to play and I assumed they would be in the eshop. Theres no indication of where to find them. I could have clicked on the banner but I guess I just assumed Nintendo would have made it easy to find on their eshop.

Much easier and faster to search (and buy) on their website. That's what I do with PSN, Xbox and the eShop. Search via console sucks monkey butt most of the time.

I’ve been playing Death Stranding 2 this weekend. Love the whole shared world aspect of these games. Building and repairing various structures that can help both you and other players feels good. So what have you porters been playing?

I've been playing between 36 to 72 rounds of golf this weekend on EA PGA Tour 23. I also spend a bit of time with Dirt Rally 2.0 and Gran Turismo 7.

Go to search, scroll down to filtered search, check demo box.

I have played a lot the past week. Unfortunately I haven't enjoyed most of it. But here's my rundown:

Returnal: it's a nice take on the Dungeon Crawler genre. Unfortunately it's just too long for its level of difficulty. It took me about a dozen tries before I finally had a successful run at making it to the first boss. That one run took an hour, and I came up short. Since it's a Dungeon Crawler, I pretty much have to do all that again. And I think I'm past the days of where I to spend an hour working my way to a boss, only to die and have to do it over again.

Sackboy's Big Adventure: this might be the most textbook example of playing it safe. There was nothing really bad about it, but I didn't think there was anything good about it either. In fact, I actually got kind of pissed off about how basic this game really was. Not a single risk or new idea anywhere to be found. This was actually my second attempt at the game, and I made it further than I did the first time, but this is just too boring to keep playing.

So I pretty much gave up on the new games, actually and went back to some old favorites. I spent some time streaming and finished. We love katamari, and played some of Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends. The Rayman games were a hell of a lot more popular than I expected, and I've enjoyed playing them, so I'll probably stick with them for a while.

And last but not least, I also started playing fortnite again. After some fairly lengthy Story-Driven open world games, it's nice to just play something simple and stupid like this. And I'm definitely enjoying that.

I had a lot of fun with the Switch 2 this past week. I played a bit of Mario Kart World, Tears of the Kingdom and Split Fiction. Good weekend for gaming.

All Cyberpunk for me.

Messing about in photo mode is fun when you learn you can turn off collision detection and fly your camera inside someone's nostril.

Also if you turn up the camera speed you can soar to the skies for huge statues and cityscapes.

This game sometimes boggles the mind how everything is seamless.

I'll be driving about, then enter a skyscraper, get the elevator to the top, go inside some fancy ass apartment, then out onto the open balcony with swimming pool and look down to the street where I just came from.

It's something we have in real life that we take for granted, but occasionally I'll remember how games never used to do this and its amazing.

Every shop, underground area, every building, apartment, garage, open plain is all seamlessly connected.
