Been playing through the Metal Gear Solid: The Master Collection Vol. 1. Finished Metal Gear Solid and started MGS2. MGS is still a great game but man, those PS1 graphics are rough. Wouldn’t mind a remake of that with some QoL improvements.

I was hoping it would at least be the Twin Snakes version.

Got it... Hope to see you soon, Vault-Hunter!

Yeah! All these years later and I still have fond memories of our co-op adventures in Borderlands 2. Some of the best mp experiences ever!

It would have been nice if they had included that one as I never played it.

This weekend I decided to go the chill route and play some Stardew Valley (Switch). After a couple hours, and realizing I have no idea what I'm doing, I gave up on it (temporarily).

I'm now playing the original Harvest Moon (SNES) on NSO. This one seems to be much more my speed.

Great games. Stardew Valley can definitely feel overwhelming though, especially if you've never played one of the Harvest Moon/ Story of Seasons games. Hell, I've probably played more of those games than 99% of the population, and even I found Stardew Valley overwhelming when I first played it.

OG Harvest Moon is still really good though, but can get a little old after the first in-ear game. By that point, you will have probably gone through 75% of the major in-game events. After that it starts to get overly repetitious. But still, it's good for learning the routines and the balance, most of which carries on even into Stardew Valley. If you haven't gotten too deep into it though, it might be worth skipping it, and going into Harvest Moon 64 (if that's available). It's still a pretty basic game, but they did a good job of expanding the gameplay without adding so much that it makes you feel like you don't know how to begin.

I'll have to check out Harvest Moon 64 soon then. I believe it's on the NSO Expansion Pack, but I only have the basic NSO subsription currently.

I vaguely remember reading that Konami won't re-release Twin Snakes because Nintendo had paid for its development, and wouldn't allow it to be released on non-Nintendo platforms or something like that. Simlar to how they wouldn't allow MS to release Goldeneye until recently. Hopefully, something could be worked out someday for Twin Snakes too; that's the MGS I played originally.

Regarding Harvest Moon, wasn't able to leave the opening town despite having spoken to everyone at least twice. It took me far too long to realize I had go behind the counter to talk to them on a personal level; when you're in front of the counter, it's business-only. Who'd think to do this?  LOL

Went back to SW Outlaws after finishing Hogwarts Legacy.

It's not a bad game, a bit scripted, could use some tweaks. It's around Assassin's Creed quality.

The lighting and reflections are great. Could use some finessing in the mechanics here and there.

Trying to decide which cartel to side with.

You guys checked out Switch 2 game prices on Amazon recently?

Nintendo high prices, Mario Kart, DKB, even Cyberpunk cost me £60.

But other games are a lot cheaper. Like Wii price standard £40 ish.

SF6 is now £35 both physically and digital.

FF7 is £40

Hogwarts Legacy £30 game key card

Yakuza 0 is £36

And other game key cards have dropped in price. Sometimes cheaper than the eshop price.

This weekend I played some Super Mario Galaxy in anticipation of the rerelease of Galaxy 2.  I also played some of the Bananza dlc and feeling the buyer's remorse.

Nintendo releasing paid DLC this soon after the initial release is very un-Nintendo.

Really sad to see Nintendo going full on greedy, and adopting the worst industry practices.

We've all done so, or these practices would've been stomped out years ago.

Hi everyone, super busy. Not gaming. Not doing anything really other than work and work on my farm.

I have a question on Switch 2.  When you transfer your games and content to the Switch 2 from Switch, does that mean you cannot access said content on Switch 1 any more?  Or are DL games and content available on both?  I'm || close to gettig a S2 before they raise the price on it. Sad

I haven’t even played any of it yet and am already feeling buyer’s remorse. LOL

Heard some not very good impressions on it.

I don't own a Switch 2, but I looked into it. Yes, you can keep playing your digital games on your Switch 1 after your Switch 2 transfer. Your digital games are tied to your Nintendo account, not the console. However, you will need an internet connection to play them on your secondary Switch; this is to prevent mulitple people from playing the game at the same time. Physical carts don't have this limitation. Whichever console you set as your primary Switch, also doesn't require an internet connection for offline games.

Apparently, my progress hasn't been saving in Harvest Moon on NSO. I thought that "writing in your diary" and going to bed saved the game?! I downloaded the pdf manual, and it states that's how it works. But when I went back to the game just now, there's have no freaking diary save file. Nothing. WTF?
