Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection, was directed by series creator.
I really think this guy needs a kick in the nuts. It's well above any acceptable difficulty in any other game. Playtesters should have ripped this game to shreds in the playtesting phase.
It's like it's pretending that the past 30 years of game development never happened and they even made it harder than the old games.
It looks and sounds great, but Arthur controls like a brick and runs as fast as a heavy fart in the wind.
It's so inconsistent in the difficulty between sections. Some you will cruise through first time, the next you will die 50 times.
The AI is genuinely unfair, some unique enemies literally lunge towards you faster than you can move.
It's like the game is urinating on you while laughing and burning your money in the background.
I bought a new book on Amazon called "NES Endings Compendium Vol. 1 - 1985-89." I was just made aware of it, because the author is preparing to release Volume 2 which covers 1990 through the end of the system.
It's been a lot of fun to read. It's kind of like getting a new issue of Nintendo power. Some games get spotlighted a little bit more than others, particularly if they were a little more story heavy. Sometimes game art from the manuals is included. And the author provides some thoughts and opinions on some of the endings as well.
For me this is almost like an opportunity to go back and look at the ending to games I rented or just couldn't complete. I definitely recommend picking this up if you still have appreciation for the 8-Bit era.
Did you all see the EGM kickstarter, I bought it, hardcover detailing the history of gaming through EGM. Plus I ordered their digital archive of every single issue.
I had not. Seems like a must get. They exceeded their kickstarter goal.
Same Soul Calibur gameplay and a good story mode. And jiggle.
I've always been partial to the school of thought that gaming would be better off if the industry invested more in realistic physics over just higher poly models. Before you know it, you're stuck in the uncanny cleavage.

Speaking of uncanny cleavage, I was playing DOA 5 last weekend. I never noticed before that the PS4/5's gyro allows for player-controlled jiggle.

I bought and played the Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
I heard years ago that it used a graphical technique to make it look good.
I only tried handheld so far but I can already appreciate it's Visuals.
I was reading this article that said it uses photogrammetry , a method of scanning photographs (a *lot* of photographs) to create and texture highly-detailed 3D objects without any of the repetition associated with common video game techniques.
Do any other games use this? Was it ever widely adopted?
This game is 10 years old now and still looks great.

Ineresting to see if it will be a Pokemon Go! success or a Fitness Ring wank-off.
It was surprisingly good and addicting.

That would be awesome just to see the hardware break down and framerates plummit when players start all-out Pikmin wars amongst eachother.
Make cities from human trash.

They've pulled out KK Slider from the soundtrack, I was thinking a MMOAnimal Crossing Minecraft.
That would make a lot of sense. Sounds simultaneously boring and exciting.
You build your own town like Horizons and you have neighbouring towns you can travel through with no loading.
So it turns into an expansive world.

Yeah good call. Anyway it's been streamed online so I'll do some digging and see what it is.
It looks like Minecraft. Really bad Visuals. Lots of menus to build stuff.
Maybe the Visuals are placeholder as they didn't want to leak the IP they are using.
The game never reminds you to use the skill tree. So I was just playing the game bareboned without upgrading the skill tree and getting new magic.
I want to get the ability to change weapons, that will help a lot. But the magic is a much bigger component of the game compared to older entries.
They aren't going to over power you but they can be quite useful in certain circumstances.
In fact there's a huge Halloween sale.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is on sale for the first time in literally, years.
