Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart utilizes the rumble features of the PS5 controller quite nicely as well. It’s also a gorgeous looking game that is humorous. I do very much enjoy this franchise.
Mark Cerny made a big deal about PS5's 3D audio capablities a while back, so I tried it out today with Gran Tursimo 7 and Astro's Playroom (both games support the feature). I pugged in my Bose QC35II headphones into my PS5 controller and enabled it in the system options menu. It does add a bit more surround sound effect in those games. It's subtle but welcome. Gran Turismo 7 made the best use of it, especially while driving in the rain.
However, using 3D audio on games that don't support the feature just sounded hollow and muffled. And having to go into the system settings to enable or disable it depending on the game is bit of a hassle.
Same. Hamster, the form factor of the thing is one of the other reasons I am holding off, how are you doing with it? It looks like a Georgia O'Keefe sculpture and I am hoping on the first revision they turn it into a rectangular prism.
I have it vertical. It towers over my Switch, PS3 and Xbox SS like a powerful god. It does look a bit ridiculous, lol. I don't mind the size as much as I thought I would, though. It only makes noise when installing a game from disk; it's completely silent during gameplay which is a great tradeoff.

It's a shame that it's a feature not likely to be used by third parties due to the extra work.
Its a shame that as a half deaf guy I will never be able to experience how cool Dolby Atmos is. I played some music on itunes and it sounds about the same. My wife and son can tell the difference.

I've not experianced Dolby Atmos yet. I just watched a video detailing it. It supports ceiling speakers now! And I thought my old Dolby 5.1 speaker setup was a pain to manage.
That's on my list to get soon.
Didn't realise the handbrake was needed so much to initiate a proper drift.
Still don't get the heavy handling, real cars are quite responsive with steering so what are they going for here?
I get the feeling that GG does real street races for money.
Good idea, needs it's own thread.
I'm waiting on You to find it and bump it.

All this PS5 talk makes me want to purchase one. Good thing I cant find one.

Yeah, I got my PS5 standing upright as well. The thing really is a behemoth.
It does run nice and quite though aside from the install from the disc.
I'm just surprised that was a reference anyone knew about (besides the art teacher).

This weekend I finished Inside and am gearing up for Splatoon 3.

I've been mostly playing the PS5 versions of Gran Turismo 7, Dirt 5, Bright Memory Infinite and Astro's Playroom this weekend.
