I agree with this, in an ideal world. But usually it's a few games here or there. In Wii U's case, it's every game in human existence skipping the platform. Which seems particularly harsh given Nintendo is the only pure gaming HW company left. And because of what they did with the success of Wii.

Also what I love about Japanese developers, they can make a game for the platform it's on. They can make a game on 3DS and still do some awesome stuff. They look at the platform, they think about what they can do and they do it.

Where western devs are like failed jugglers, completely at a loss at how to make a decent game - unless they are working on roided up PC that can accept whatever bloated, melodramatic, epic they want to do.
