Capcom's financial situation is certainly a factor. They have to be choosy about development.
FUN FACT: Yoshi's real name is T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas.
So what do you think the T stands for? I'm going with Tiberius.
Japan gets this:
And all we get is a digital download?
Ever since the N64 third-party support has been basically irrelevent for me, especially for multi-platform games. Since I'm a multi console owner the main reason I purchase Nintendo consoles is for the Nintendo games ie. Mario, Zelda, etc. I've always preferred my multi-plat games on systems other then Nintendo for a variety of reasons over the gens. Currently online functionality and achievements are the biggest factors for me.
Question: What format does the Wii U use, is it Blu-Ray?

embed not working on this video. Check it out though...Alpha talking about REmake.
Yeah its some kind of proprietary format equal to blu-ray....same size storage. Why Nintendo just didn't use actual blu-ray, no idea. They didn't want to pay Sony I guess.
1. You're assuming I'm worked up
2. I don't like hypocrisy (not talking about you - the industry)
3. I think people should ask questions, investigate and not just blindly accept situations. I want people to ask questions in all situations, politics etc real life
4. If I want to give an opinion I will, if you choose to disgree so what? What's the big shit?
We had that story about MGS Ground zeros PS4 outselling the X1 version by 3:1. Will anyone be dropping support? I very much doubt it. Nintendo wont pay for shit, because by and by it would be insustainable to the way they do business and to them it would be seen as encouraging money begging bad behaviour from publishers. I expect X1 to do pretty well this gen but by and large that's because it's receiving every game known to man whilst Wii U is receiving none. Reverse the situation and see where that gets you. What I object to and it's not just me, publishers are trying to dictate the platform(s) I own. I was all up for getting a PS4 as my second console, but the continued shaftage of U, to me it comes across as someone trying to dictate what I do. And by and large I don't like being told what to do.
I'm also not a card carrying paid up member of the AAA hype train, so forgive my cynicsm - I want games like Endless Ocean and Zombi U, rehashed games like yearly COD and AC doesn't excite me anymore. I may play them, they may be all right, but I'm not hyped and can certainly live without them.
I see people on other forums buying and playing BF4, Knack, Killzone SF, Ryse amongst others, and they aren't even good games, they just get them cause they're supposedly next gen and high profile.
How is this any different than the last 3 generations? Wii U is not selling too well, some of Nintendo's own games haven't sold too well. I don't think anyone is trying to dictate anything...they're just throwing their games on what is accepted as this generation's main console, because its outselling the competition (other than Japan which barely even matters anymore in console terms) & for the most part, games sell on it.
Using the AAA term the way people do nowadays bothers me. I don't give a flying fuck what it cost to make a game. AAA has always been a game you feel is a 9+, system seller game. THAT is a AAA game. Not what some suits these days like to call AAA just because they throw a ton of money at it.
Killzone isn't that bad. Its not incredible by any stretch, but its a good game to mess with. I could see some people preferring it over something like Zombi U.
But the Xbox and wii situation can't be reversed cause MS builds it's console around third party support. They grab exclusives, they pay for timed DLC, they advertise third party games in their commercials. Xbox is about inclusion.
Wii and Nintendo is about exclusion.
Exactly creampuff.
Actually AAA does mean how much money is put into the development of a game, the final review score, sales, and systems it helps sell don't really factor into it. AAA is a term that developers/publishers attribute to a game title in reference to how much resources are attributed to it's development. Naturally they hope for high reviews and big sales but those don't affect a game's AAA status otherwise games such as Minecraft would be AAA games and that's clearly not the case.
I know that's the accepted definition these days but I do not like that. I'm just used to game's rating determing if it's Triple A or not. The other way sounds like publishers trying to force consumers to believe their game is of high quality.
Exactly...it was not like this back in the day. Like I said, I really don't give a fuck what the perception of AAA is to some people these days...Growing up reading EGM and whatnot, AAA meant system seller, and one of the best games of its era.
Well actually it was like this back in the day it's the consumers who have come to think of AAA games meaning 9+ reviews, system sellers, and games they like. While this is ultimately the goal of the developer/publisher the concept of the AAA game has always been the designation of games that have large amount of resources allocated to them. It was the industry that coined this term.
...and the consumer is always right.![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
I'll get you next time Gadget! Next time!
I want Dargon Quest IV.
I think it's bullshit we have to buy three different game consoles just to play the few exclusives on available each. I don't have to buy a special Disney DVD player to watch Disney films, and Sony Entertainment films are not exlusive to Sony Bluray players, so why the fuck are we still being forced to do that with consoles? This industry is insane
Where is Steel hiding at?
There were people preaching the one console future way back in 2006. It is crazy...you would think some kind of standardized console would be a reality by now. Greed stops that from happening.
