Xbox ONe Needs to be online at least once a day. Always Online? No. but Online every 24 hours.
Kotaku: If Im playing a single player game, do I have to be online at least once per hour or something like that? Or can I go weeks and weeks?
Harrison: I believe its 24 hours.
Kotaku: Id have to connect online once every day.
Harrison: Correct
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
Fuck yes
I just got home from work.
Xbox One. WTF?
The only question now is, "Does Sony quickly adopt these practices as well?" Or do they wait for later in the generation or next generation to adopt them (because once MS has taken the sting for it the business reasons are too good not to adopt it eventually).
I've wondered why the console side did not go the serial number route years ago.
Phil Theobald said that MS should have provided backward compatibility for the original Xbox.
We purposefully did not target the highest end graphics. We targeted it more as a broad entertainment play."
Hmm sounds familiar.
Sony said they would allow third parties lock out games if they choose. Sony will not. So it saves sony from the rage but this practice will be occuring in third party games on PS4. This is also why EA stopped their online pass, it wasnt cause they were nice, the new systems will have the passes built in. Probably also why they wont support Nintendo.
So eight years from now when they turn off the servers (as they did with the first xbox 1) I won't be able to play my old games.

So Target.com has the white Wii U for $240? Damn, that's almost a good deal.
One thing this conference showed is how ancient Nintendo is with tech. Remember Nintendo TVii. That shit is like Mayan tools compared to what this Xbox can do with TV.
No.
No what?
I just think it's more mind boggling that it was even messed with at all. It's like, "hey I know alchemy doesn't really work, but I think I found an even more efficient way to fail at it."
Dont get a wii u yet. A bigger price drop should be happening soon and you do not want a basic.
My son is watching the Super Mario Bros. Super Show on Netflix right now. I don't think I've ever seen a tv show that abused a laugh track more.
True. I want a black one anyway, white sucks.
This Xbox conferenced abused the crowd cheers track more.
I missed that one. What happened to the WiiUTVii?
