I played it twice before but always gave up eventually before completing it. I couldn't get into it, the other gba games just felt tighter and more polished and still do actually. But playing it again on a screen right in front of me with customisable controls and save states it just feels easier to enjoy and appreciate. With the headphones in that piano/synth music kicked and it was ahhhhh great.
I feel like I'm 'getting it' more this time. The virtual console is going to be awesome on this machine mainly because of off tv play and the nature of these older games. When more games are released I may have to consider the Wii-U transfer tool.
What am I reading here?
Fuuu, Xbox One uses 2 CPU cores, 3gb RAM and 10% of the GPU power just for the operating system - games cannot access that.
UK Wii U sales skyrocket after Xbox One reveal
Sales rise.... 875%
Screen in front of you, where is your TV?
So it sold 875 units.
Complete insanity. If true that is a nicer way of MS saying we are taking you out of buisness. There is no used game there, it's just MS taking all the money.
I mean right in front of me, off tv play. It feels more intimate, it just feels right for these old 2D games. Also being able to play off screen while someone else is watching some crud on tv, with one earphone in and still being able to conversate with them - that's priceless.
I don't think you have any problem with TV access, but for those of us that want, or have to be in a room with other people, the sense of SMUG satisfaction that spreads through your loins when the main tv is being used for fashion shows or tudor documentaries and you're sitting there playing a game or watching Prison Break or 24 - it's just priceless.
So game shops have to be registered with the cloud? So what about if you buy used from ebay from individuals?
No, don't your remember Ubisoft saw negative sales? So it must be less.
I just realised, game shops used to keep all the money from the sale of a used game and now it will be 10%? Whhhhhhhhoooooooaaaaa.
Yeah.....
Retro is making Star Tropics 3! It's about time.
There was something in this article which I found interesting:
Is this Microsoft VP basically admitting that half of 360 units sales come from replacement units?
Given the RROD, it might be likely to an extent, could a hardware fault account for a large proportion of unit sales - 50%? Or in other words, is MS's success in monthly NPD partly due to the sale of replacement units?
So maybe don't be worried about games?
So how intrusive is Miiverse on the Wii U? Can it be disabled or ignored without having to disconnect the system from the internetz? I just want to turn on my console, and not be bombarded with a bunch of random annoying Miis with questions and comments.
Awesome. Thanks, robio.
It's great though, you'll use it. Whenever you get stuck in a game.
Not right away. It needs more games, and a pricedrop would be nice. It all depends on what Nintendo shows at E3.
Why would I use Miisverse when I have easy access to Gamefaqs? Besides, cheating is for pussies.
The one big advantage with the Miiverse for that is with new games that don't have FAQs written up yet.
